What’s your favorite hairstyle to draw Darnell in? I love how you give him so many styles
Oh hey thanks! I think it might just be the twists and braids w beads at the end of them... Like these are the ones I'm hooked on right now lol, even tho sketching and drawing it takes a bit more effort that his flat top 👇🏽
Every so often my mind comes up with a new look for him, different outfit and hairstyles n stuff, when I see Darnell in my head atm it defaults to him having the twists and/or braids (+ that corresponding outfit), and I think that influences the way I draw him
It's fun thinking about other looks for ur faves n stuff! Idk how or why I do it (with him specifically, guess I'm that obsessed/in love) but I have like 2 other looks for him that I came up w that were like past 'default' images, one more so than the other tbh, haven't shown them yet but hope to do so sooner or later :p
-> One of them I came up w pretty recently and it's him with wearing his twists in a high ponytail, while having cropped sports jersey and bigass jeans for his fit, he's wearing a bunch of jewelry too.. The other is a bit older and it's him wearing a durag to keep cornrows with clear beads covered under them, a darker hoodie with a jacket over it and his dark blue pants.. I also picture him with a shoulder bag filled with his spraycans to paint or anything else that can combust into flames...
Thinking that OC-ification concerning them (meaning the ps trio) has taken over in me but it's all good and funnnn so it's ok :D Love treating these guys as my own characters lol, experimenting with their designs and placing 3000 headcanons on them :3 I’m sure in the future I’ll be drawing more hairstyles and outfits for him whether I’ve had them I mind for a long while now or if I jus come up w them on the fly
