i had meant to draw this to celebrate when they initially got together but life got in the way so i decided to do it as a doodle instead and post it anyway! hirano and his shameless fond gazes hehe

this is so late im embarrassed but im impressed i actually finished it. i have so much respect for mangakas who do like 10+ page chapters a week😵‍💫

small detail: i wanted to add some petals to transition into the running panel, but cherry blossom are more associated with spring. turns out wisteria bloom in may (when the sports fest takes place) which also happens to have been used in official kghr art a couple of times so it was a perfect fit🫶

also if it’s not clear the last panel is hirano giving kagi his signature googoo eyes

been wanting to do more comic work and really enjoyed making this, hope to do more. i hope it reads well and that the youthful/ best friend/ summer vibes got across. i love this playful, teasing aspect of their dynamic sooo much so i loved the height diff prompt
