♡ SAGE kept her eyes forward in the elevator, airpods drowning out the mundane mechanical sounds and muzak that played over the speaker. when another person got on she kept her head low, moving over slightly to accompany whoever it was. deciding to be bold she took one airpod out, looking towards the other person: “hey.” she smiled, mustering up a friendly voice: “i’m not like a total weirdo but do you know, like a bar where i can get a really good drink in this town, but somewhere kind of lowkey?”

jade got onto the elevator and smiled at the other woman "hi there." she said with a friendly tone and looked over at her "I like Lionsgate, it's so chill but the drinks are so good." the woman said "i was actually thinking about going there myself if you wanted to join me."

"i broke my oldest brother's nose once because he wouldn't leave my room and all momma said to him was "maybe you shouldn't have went in her room". i got scolded big time, but not in front of him, cause it wouldn't have happened if he'd left to begin with. not that it excuses it, but it wouldn't have happened if he'd mind his own business," she said. "i do, she'll be three on september 30th and i'm not ready for it. i don't want her to grow up," she said with a small chuckle. "well, i hope it happens for you and that you have a safe and healthy pregnancy journey."

"my defense mechanism when i was younger was i would knee my brothers in the balls, my dad would get so mad at me but my mom would just roll her eyes and tell them they deserved it because they were always picking on me or talking some shit, I swear as little sisters we can get away anything." Jade laughed "Aw, are you having a birthday party for her?" the woman asked "I appreciate that, hun, thank you."

“Yes baby. I have a slik and the glittery suit. My best friend from the NFL made me buy them. So basically something easy for me to get you out of?”

"and I've never seen either one, are you kidding me? Asher, you have to put them on and show me right now." she laughed "Oh you little devil you but yes, it should be easy for you to remove." the woman blushed a bit

"i'm like that with my siblings. never let them live anything down, but if they bring up anything i did, i'll play the crying game and mom will tell them to leave me alone - i'm a momma's girl, she'll defend me over anything," angel said with a laugh. "uh... well hell, i dunno, i don't think i'm very fun. i work, i go home, hang out with my munchkin. lather, rinse, repeat."

"oh my goodness my oldest brother i swear remembers everything i've ever done and he'll be like 'remember that one time, you did that one thing' and it works, i can't believe i let it work on me every single time." jade said with a gentle laugh "oh god i am such a momma's girl, that woman is everything to me." she pushed her hair back "aw you have a little one, so cute, i can't wait to have my own little one now that my husbands settled in with his career."

"see, i'm clumsy, so i always expect some sort of accident to happen to me or because of me. it's not surprising anymore," she said with a small laugh. "sounds like a plan. i can't do anything until my brother gets here to fish 'em out, anyways," she said. "i'm angel."

"it happened to my husband once and i never let him live it down but he always insists it was really me but i know my memory is good." she laughed "So tell me girly, a fun fact about you, it's something I ask everyone I meet, ice breaker you could call it." she said smiling as she walked across the street to the park.

"it's funny when it's not you it happened to. i've laughed at it happening to other people. this isn't the first time this has happened, either. you'd think i'd learn," angel said with a shrug. "it's alright, i'll have to call my brother or something."

"it's almost like a natural thing that happens to me but i always feel bad when it does happen to someone else but makes me feel almost validated that someone else knows the pain of it." she said "hey, there's a coffee cart across the street, how about i get us some coffees, I'm Jade by the way, hi."

“Well good thing I have a silver suit to match you silver dress. Also what the hell is a pink accent?” He asked her.

"wait are you serious or are you messing with me? a silver suit? are we talking a glittery suit or just a grey silk material suit?" she asked "you know like pink earrings, necklace, maybe my eye makeup."

"oh no!" angel gasped as her keys fell down into a grate. it was her own fault. she'd been swinging them on her finger. she knew better, but she didn't think anything of it. "damn ittt... well, i'm just gonna have to come up with a good lie for him, this is stupidly embarrassing to admit that it happened again," she muttered, mostly to herself.

"i'm so sorry i don't mean to laugh but i have done that so many times that my husband traded my car in for a car that didn't need keys, he doesn't even like me to have my house keys, they have to be in my purse because i swear i was born with butter fingers." she said "oh my goodness, i wish there was a way i could help."

“Of course I do. I have about four suits. What color does it have to be?” The male asked as he leans down and kisses her lips softly. 

"Well the suit can be any color as long as it matches my silver dress, I'm doing the prettiest silver dress with pink accents." she smiled softly as she pressed her lips against his, kissing him back.

Asher smiles as he looks over at her, kissing her forehead and hit play on the movie. The male wraps his arm around his Fiancée then said “Then watch the Cheesy movie I picked for the first time ever and enjoy life with me.”

"Which speaking of that gala, do you have a suit? It's a nice event and I want us to match." the woman said as she curled up into his side and took another bite from her food.

Asher sat down and brought the food to the table in the living room and started the movie “Hey. Don’t knock my favorite cheesy movie or else no Elvis next,”

"babe, i need to learn all i can about Elvis, we have that gala coming up on the 11th and it's literally at his home." the woman said as she sat down and began to eat

SMiling as he went to the door and got the door dash as he went back to the living room and placed the food on the table “Dinner is served.”

Jade smiled as she walked up to the table and picked up a carton eating out of it "Perfect, now come bring this in the living room so we can watch whatever movie it was you decided for us again." she laughed

“Look, I can’t help myself. I’m a cheese fucker who is just full of cheese but it’s why you fell in love with me.”

"You're right, you're cheesy but it's a cute kind of cheesy." she smiled, her hand patting his arm softly as she sat down on the couch and curled up under the blanket.

“We are having a movie night. Me, you, wine, popcorn and a movie called your place or mine with Reese witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher. I also order door dash from your favorite place in town.”

"oh babe, you know how i feel about romcoms, cliché." she laughed "i will however happily indulge in the food and popcorn, can't promise i'll pay too much attention to the movie." she winked

Asher grabs her and held her close to him as he said “You’re never gonna be like your parents. I’m sorry but your parents are the scum of the earth and we are gonna be way better than them”

Jade holds herself close to him and rests her head against his shoulder "My mom isn't as bad as my dad but she still just shoved me to nannies, put me in pageants, things like that but I know we will be better than our parents, we won't make the same mistakes."

Asher stared into his wife’s eyes and said “I’m just scared that I will become my dad. He was a terrible man. I am worried that I will lose my temper.”

Jade wrapped her arms around him softly "I'm worried I'll be just like my dad too, I know that sounds weird but my dad never cared what I did just as long as I was what he wanted me to do, I don't want to be a mom who forces her kids into things." she said softly
