- self diagnosis is completely valid

- self diagnosis does not mean someone is "less valid" than you

- self diagnosis does not mean someone is "less educated" than you

- diagnosis does not mean you are more educated than a self diagnosed person

- diagnosis does not mean your opinions hold more weight in discourse conversations than a self diagnosed person's opinions

- diagnosis is often, though of course not always, indicative of privilege in one way or another

- listen to and learn from medically neglected people and/or people who are unable to be diagnosed because of discrimination in medical settings

this sentiment also goes for anything else. simply say you have something. you don't need to make the distinction that you're diagnosed. whether intentionally or not, you're often perpetuating ableism against self diagnosed people. and to self diagnosed people, I recommend doing the same. your diagnosis status is typically not important to know, especially in casual conversations. what matters is you have something and that you're educated on it, the piece of paper saying you have it typically does not.

1. people are allowed to be upset if you're mean to them.

2. holy dodging system accountability.

3. you're all the same brain. it's actually normal to expect your friends to be nice to you.

4. if you're consistently a jerk to your friends and dodge it with "well that PART doesn't like you" you're sort of an asshole. that person deserves decency. handle it within your system mayhaps.
