new art postttttttt. I've been having massive trans shinji brainrot cos uhhhhhhhh... I'm trans and relate a lot to shinji (aside from certain awful actions). speaking of cranking one out quickly in the vicinity of an extremely mentally ill girl, i did all the rendering for this one in one day to escape The Thoughts & Feelings™©®. to be clear, in my case both the cranker and the mentally ill girl were me.

my thought process behind this drawing was "wouldn't it be fucked if shinji transitioned then had timey wimey shit happen to her cos of the cycle of evangelion and she met the next/past her? and also she took her fashion from the two only mother figures she ever had (though tbh idk if she'd even remember yui enough to know that that's her shirt)."

i feel like transitioning is the ultimate rejection of instrumentality, changing the body to fit the shape of the individual soul, as opposed to losing form into the mix of all souls. maybe in this headcanon, when shinji re-realized herself post-instrumentality, the form she came back in suited her properly because of that. wish that could happen to me frfr.
