The amusement park graced the valley as if a had become a sort of visual question, one that asked us all why was it always so packed with people? Humans are such a fun-loving and jovial bunch after all, it makes sense for many children to crowd them areas with their parents or to see other couples doing these cute stuff together. The amount of inspiration you were getting from by just seeing made your happy. This might actually work, she thought. This will work, Donghyuck’s willing to book a right away schedule to be with Micha to help her in many ways.

She wows and rush in holding Donghyuck’s hands that he clasped himself on first. Now she were dragging him from action to action. Every market stand he saw because Micha did not want to miss a thing. Not a single play did she want to miss in this world, remembered these tickets sold out quickly despite being so freaking expensive, this might be a one in an life time opportunity. Might as well seize it.

Arriving at the stand with go carts area, many people similar to their ages and some younger around the pre-teens line up at the reception to play. Micha jumps on her feet lightly excitingly. Donghyuck loves seeing her so overwhelmed to the point she becomes hyperactive, he’s glad shes not taking this as seriously business-like as he thought Micha would when she arrive at the theme park. He can’t help but admire the way her crease with eye smiles, the nose scrunches when laughing too hard and the reddish cheeks everytime they are in his presence. Micha were blabbing away about the most useless things now, he wasn’t listening though. He was far too caught up in her beauty. She turns to him with a scowl, “you’re not even listening to me Donghyuck.” Shes point at him.

The way he zoned out and snapped back into reality, looking away from her he clears his throat. “I was listening.” He sidetracks as he sounds even unconvincing of himself. Micha grins nudging him. “You’re lucky I forgive you because…”

“We are at an amusement park!” Micha jumps again and Donghyuck laughs out at the words. “Good thing I got those tickets.”

The first stand the both students arrive to would be the fake guns. The guy at the front smiles at Micha and Donghyuck as he welcomed them. At first, she reached for the gun wanting to win a plushie prize; the bear one specifically. But Donghyuck stops her, reaching for the gun instead. Micha looks up with her eyebrows raise slightly.

He winks. “A man doesn’t let his girl win something for herself. Remember that.” He points out as he prepares the gun on the stand. Closing one eye and keeping the other open, he focuses the aim at the brown bear in the distance staying on the second stance. Micha watches her best friend before the large shot comes out and the bear fell down. He scored! Overwhelming happiness reaches her stomach deep below and the boy pulls away cockily smirking. “Now that’s what i call a professional.” He said and the man at the stand lets out a nervously laugh.

He wasn’t expecting the boy to get it this instant.

“One Bear coming up!”

The bear engulfs in her arms. Smiling ear to ear they both walk down the streets of the amusement park watching the rollercoasters, ride and many more food stands too. On the way walking they both end up buying candy floss and watching performance plays too. Micha was far too busy watching everything as if it would the last thing ever to see, she was far too excited and the amusement park itself makes her curious of everything in it. Donghuck smiles watching his best friend before slipping his hand to hold hers, interlocking fingers together, the small hand action causes Micha to look away and glance to the boy. He smiles only before looking away watching the fire play in front with the rolling cyclist man and fire hoops. Micha felt herself go red. What was this feeling? Nervousness?

“Your hands are so small.” He lets out in a surprise. “And soft.”

She felt her eyes tremble at the words. “Yours…feel so warm.” She never understood how the boy can be a literal human hot water bottle. So hot and warm constantly, it makes her think her body is broken because she is always cold. Especially her hands and feet.

He hums a little. “From now on if you are ever cold, just hold my hand.”

She nods softly at the words finding them to be very reliable and comforting.

She clenches his hand and digs her face into the scarf. It was quite cold today but both of them luckily dressed with many layers.

Donghyuck and Micha kept the hand holding. The two wants to experience as many couple activities as possible, one thing caught the boy’s mind first. The Ferris wheel. He stops pulling up the wallet and instantly buying two Ferris wheel tickets, Micha at first wasn’t sure what he was up to until he comes back joining her into the line. His hands show up holding two tickets.

Her eyes waver. “Ferris wheel?”

“Yeah, couples are known for going on it.” Donghyuck told Micha before smirking. He lowers himself whispering. “Usually to kiss.” He adds.

Micha blushed furiously before pushing her elbows on to the boy who laughs outwardly at the teasing that got to her. “Donghyuck!“ she exclaims and he shrugs. It is true. Many couples go on it because it’s perfect to share a kiss or two. He knows a few people that ended up fucking on there but nevertheless he won’t do those with Micha.

“It’s true.”

It’s strictly workplace relationship. But he did hint to her what other couples are doing. She can do whatever she wants with that information.

Micha on the other hand couldn’t help but think what it would feel like kissing on the Ferris wheel. She felt stuck, almost tempted to find out how it feels. She never had her first kiss either, let alone first time. Donghyuck brought himself inside the Ferris wheel once the line up shortens and Micha sits next to him. The two stay quiet before the Ferris wheel begins to roll.

Then a thought intrudes softly, like a nerf gun crashing into the back of your thigh striking the sensitive point. Hurting badly. The thought of Donghyuck always being a player, surely he brought other girls on the Ferris wheel? Surely, he knows how it feels to kiss on it from his point of view. Surely, he’d have all the answers to Micha’s endless questions about the Ferris wheel.

She chews on her cheek side to side before finally speaking, but not looking at him. “You must’ve brought many girls on the Ferris wheel before, right?”

He shifts gazing down at her before letting out a hum. “No, only you.” He says and that hits Micha to feel her stomach twist and turn. Seeing how the eyes widen in bliss, he smiles at the reaction.

“That’s a surprise.” She throws.

His jaw uncoils in disbelief, what was that? An indirect insult? Why was it a surprise. He can’t help but think. “What’s that supposed to mean?” He says with a chuckle.

“Oh nothing.”

Grinning playfully she nudged her shoulders up and brushing them aside. Looks like she won’t be answering him anyways, so they start to sit in the comfortable silence admiring the Ferris Wheel view. It has a beautiful outlook on the amusement park, as well as the lights in the city to the distance casting anyones eyes. Other couples on the Ferris wheel would wow and chitter amongst themselves, but not Micha and Donghyuck who sit in awe at the beautiful views. It was quiet and peaceful. Nothing awkward. But natural quietness between them. Until the fireworks hit the sky exploding into dozens of glamours colours, glittering flying in the dark sky painting it full of vibrant colours— it would make you feel like you are from that one Disney film with Flynn and Repunzel on the boats. Somehow the fireworks was almost like a signal for the couples on the Ferris Wheel to kiss…

Now this leaves Donghyuck and Micha to stick out like a sore thumb.

Everywhere you’d look there was a couple kissing. Man and Man. Girl and Girl. Boy and Girl. You’d see it everywhere, as if it was a ritual to kiss under fireworks. Micha sweats profusely thinking what to do, because she finds herself thinking more about a kiss on the Ferris Wheel. Donghyuck never mentioned anything about not kissing, but then again maybe he never thought of it in the first place. Looking over at the distracted boy, her worrisome thoughts were visible on her face like it were a paper stuck on her forehead. Donghyuck felt her stares on him, so when he turns over to look at her he knew something was bugging Micha. He knows that face. That face that screams ‘i have something to say but I’m terrified to say it.’ Type of thing.

“Spill it.” Donghyuck casually says. “You look like you have something to say.”

Biting her bottom lip she rubs her thighs by her hands. Stammering. “Erm well…everyone’s kissing but us. And since we are fake couples..- I- couldn’t help but wonder what a Ferris Wheel kiss feels like.”

Avoiding his gaze, Donghyuck can’t help but find the shyness to be a real deal package; it somehow made any awkward question turning into a very purely innocent one and this made Micha special in his eyes. The boy looks away with a giggle. “Oh Micha, oh oh oh Micha, my dear Micha what am i going to do with you?” He sings lovingly moving forward wrapping one arm around her neck he pulls her body weight on the side of his where she sits. Suddenly she felt herself go tense. All Muscles contract and the pure consciousness of thinking she was going to crush him with her weight because now she was pulled closer and closer. Yet Donghyuck seems reluctant and unbothered by the weight leaning him.

She looks at Donghyuck hissing. “What are you doing?”

“Do you want to know what a Ferris wheel kiss feels like?” He asks properly holding her close. The consent. It was important for him. For her. It’s important for everything in the world. Micha never had her first kiss let alone a Ferris one. He needs to know where she stands. If she made her decision completely.

She gulps. Only a soft nod was seen.

“I need words, Micha.” He said again.

“Yes.” Micha responds quickly closing her eyes and puckering the lips forward. Quivering in the hold, the boy can’t help but chuckle out of disbelief. Seriously it’s not a peck he was going to do. He leans closing the gap holding her face gently in his palms as if it were made out of glass and as if it his touch was only made to destroy. He was treating her as if she were made to be protected, she was special. That is what Micha felt. And when those gentle red rosey lips touch his, Donghyuck swore he exceed into ascension.

Micha felt the softness engulf her thoughts. Head empty and nothing but Lee Donghyuck in it. It were slow and steady. Carefully precise and it was a mix between a peck and an actual kiss. The way his lips kiss her bottom lip and slowly moving in synch to smother the upper lip. It felt lovingly safe to be kissed by her best friend.

So that is what a Ferris Wheel kiss feels like…
