Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois to Malik Bello & Heather Loundry.
He is the second oldest in the family of five children.
His father works as one of the judges in the Chicago court system.
His mother works as a nurse in the hospital.
Jack knew from a young age, he would rather follow in his mother’s footsteps instead of his fathers.
His parents bestowed upon everyone in the family the only rule - strive for greatness to become greatness.
This meant that while growing up there was nothing short of an A as a grade and winning first in every activity. This put a lot of stress on Jack growing up, but he used that as leverage to only get better. Sometimes it worked, and others it only meant extra chores around the house.
Jack’s family comes from old money in Chicago with his mother’s grandfather. They started their way up into the world from starting their own business - a textile company. Everyone had to work in the company until it came to Heather. Everyone told her she would fail and yet, she proved them wrong. So, from now on she always strives to prove everyone else in the family wrong by being better.
He thinks it’s a petty reason to demand excellence in a world that doesn’t play fair, but he won’t tell anyone that. Very rarely does Jack talk back.
So, it would make sense that he thrived in school. He set himself a routine that let him pass every class while becoming the quarterback for the high school football team. The team went to the state championship his senior year before losing.
This resulted in him missing his senior prom which resulted in the fight he got in with his parents. Though nothing was made of the fight besides a grounding for what felt like years (more so the whole summer including a summer job).
It comes to no surprise that Jack decided to do healthcare as his degree. He wanted to go into nursing, but it quickly turned into becoming a doctor. His main goal is to become an ER physician, but he’s open to whatever he gets put into.
He finishes his bachelor’s degree and medical degree until it finally becomes match day. The day he’s been excited, but also dreading. In his clinicals, he didn’t feel the same pull to ER as he thought he would. He loved the rush of everything, but it felt like something was missing.
His match results came back - orthopedic surgery at Aurora Bay Hospital. A town he didn’t even know existed on the map.
It was sort of a savior in disguise as his father’s scandal of having an affair made headlines. His mother claims it's all lies, but he can’t help but wonder about the truth. He never sees his parents upset at each other, but he thinks it’s his mother trying to keep anything from her family to stay on top.
He promised nothing would be said and then packed a bag to California.
Personality
Jack is very much your happy, go lucky guy. He could pretty much start a conversation with anyone about anything (even if he doesn’t know exactly what is going on).
He carries golden retriever energy considering he loves to be along for any ride.
Usually he is pretty good at staying happy unless his routine gets out of wack. With school, he has a tight schedule so there’s little room for error. This has caused some broken friendships and barely long enough time spent with a girlfriend to let family know.
Because he came from a loud and large family, he does tend to be quite loud even if he doesn’t mean it. Sometimes you’ll have to use a hand motion of lowering the volume for him to get it.
On his own, he’s a completely different person. He never got much alone time until now so he likes to spend it by reading or swimming.

Jack walks around the carnival set up somewhere between the rides and the booths, hands full with two very different slushies. They gave him the wrong one first and told him to keep it so he didn't exactly know what to do with it. Or so, that was until he spots a familiar blonde.
"Hey, Eden!" He calls out before catching up to her, "they gave me an extra slushie. You want it? I don't really want to throw it out. I promise I haven't taken a sip out of either one so you get to choose."
"So, are you more of a toppings kind of person or just strictly sauce?" Jack asks as he grabs more napkins for his hot fudge sundae he ordered. He notices her as another hallway neighbor, but doesn't think to bring it up just yet. "I think you can't go wrong with a classic."
"I think we should tackle this the best way possible - stomach churning rides first and then games and then food once everything has settled down." Jack has had enough time to think about the proper game plan for a carnival day when he's walked the area for awhile before bumping into Noah. "I don't exactly know if face paint or tattoos is for me, though."
"I advise avoiding the tarot reading. I was told that I'm either going to have a family or money. And neither of those seem like a true genuine prediction." @aurorabaystarter
"What makes you think that won't happen?" Jack asks, unsure if he believes it wouldn't come true for Tyler. Then again, he comes from a rather big family and money so one could say he's sort of biased.

Logan laughed again even as she rolled her eyes at him, "Hey, no. I am very much not anti-fries. However" She started as she reached over and snagged some of his fries to eat herself, "I just don't think it's really like...a food. It's a side. Like you said, it'd go best with wings. Do you really wanna go your whole life without a main course?"
"I mean... You could easily dress up fries to make a main course meal if you really wanted to stretch it. But I couldn't see myself eating wings for the rest of time. I could see myself getting old of all the flavors pretty fast." Jack thinks about it more for a second, and nods in solidarity in his fries option. "Isn't the saying - here for a good time, not a long time? I'd take that with chili cheese fries all day." @theloganxwilde
"Well, I'd definitely say you're in the running for these tickets now, but I also feel like it's necessary to ask if you're some kind of doctor? You seem to know a lot about bones."
Jack feels his cheeks get warm. He didn't exactly want the tickets, but did slightly prove it as a know-it-all when it came to things like odd fun facts - or so medical facts no one would really know. It feels more worse to be thought of it as a know-it-all instead of the competitive person he truly was.
"Ah well, kind of. I start my residency in July." @highmayx
"Ah, I see. Well, luck for you I can make up for it with my own writing talents. In fact, my only talents, so I regret to inform you that if you may not find me all that impressive since its not really your thing." Eden shrugged her shoulders as a hint of a smile pulled at her lips. Was she flirting? Well, at least attempting to, sure. Why not, right? Flirting never seemed to be anything more than playful banter with her anymore, not when the guys she flirted with made it clear it was meaningless to them.
"Now doctor is impressive. Well, one fourth of a doctor, but still impressive." Eden's lips pulled into a full on grin. "Hm.. I can do something with that. I'll have to consult the good ol' WebMD to see what I can do with it." His next question caught her off guard for a second, but she supposed she did set herself up for it.
"When your heart's never been whole, yeah, kind of." She said it like a joke but she wasn't really joking. Not if she were honest with herself. "I'm a writer, I always think of these things." An excuse, but she wasn't about to spill her whole life story to some stranger.
"Hey now, just because I said it isn't my strong suit, doesn't mean I can't appreciate some good writing." Jack tries to read in his spare time. It doesn't happen very often considering his reading time is made up of everything school related. But he does try to keep up with current trends - if anything for his sister who gushes over every and any book that's popular. "You can always become my neighbor pen pal and scoot notes under the door."
"I would definitely use WebMD and not Google. He'll send you down the death and despair hole very quickly." Which sounds normal for something like heartbroken syndrome, but it didn't seem like that is something Eden should be looking up.
"Ah well... I guess that makes sense. I'm sure it's easier to write from something that's more familiar and comes sort of naturally." Jack doesn't recall a moment that he did something like that. His hobbies mostly consisted of what his mother wants. "Have you published any of your writings?" He is sort of stalling from her going back inside. But he likes talking to her. She's already intrigued him enough to want to figure out how her head works. Maybe it's the medical in him. @edenxoconnell
Eden wasn't sure how she felt about a strange man standing outside of her apartment, and she'd watched enough true crime to know that just because he was cute didn't mean he wasn't a terrible person-- okay, she really needed to stop watching that kind of stuff.
"Well, I'd hate to die by pens, unless its you writing some heartbreaking Shakespearean soliloquy. Death from heartbreak sounds about right, huh. Nice to meet you, and yeah, I'm Eden." She didn't think her mail would be anything but junk, whether it was random coupons she'd never remember to use or credit card companies trying to get her to apply for another.
"What's with the scrubs? Hey, if you're a nurse or doctor, can you tell me if you really can die from heartbreak? Might use it in a story or something." Eden shrugged as she took the mail from the man's hand.
"English was never really my strong suit so you'd honestly die from how bad the soliloquy would be. The heartbreak would be lack of anything close to Shakespeare." If Jack's honest, he didn't even know what a soliloquy was. Still, he would try to write something if it made Eden smile. There's a people pleaser quality in him that goes crazy whenever anyone is upset. He blames his mother for it. She's the one always insisting that everyone needs to be happy all the time and to push away any negative emotion.
Yet, he stays quiet as Eden talks more about heartbreak. In his moments of observation, he wonders just how much she's had so far in her life. He doesn't ask because one, it's not right for him to do that and two, he's merely a stranger with mixed up mail. But she looks him over and he perks up with interest in her questions.
"In the making of becoming a doctor, so like one fourth of one. I start my residency for orthopedic surgery soon." He smiles bright at the fact, unable to hide his excitement in knowing he's closer to becoming a doctor and closer to making his parents proud. "There is broken heart syndrome - normally more common in elderly couples when one of them passes. Do you usually think this much about heartbreak?"
"Uh, yeah." Jack doesn't stop the sass from leaving his mouth before he grabs another handful of fries. "I could easily eat fries for the rest of my life. I'd prefer wings to go with them, but you said one food."

Eden had been working nights at Driftwood because it had gotten increasingly harder to get out of bed in the mornings, but the downside was getting home late at night. Thankfully her boss let her leave a bit early that night, and when she stepped onto her floor at Ocean Crest, she saw a man standing outside her door. She hadn't seen him before, and she'd walked home many times alone at night to know to always be wary of everything and everyone.
"Hey dude, if you're trying to sell something, I don't want it. If you're here to kill me or something, just get it over with." She joked as she approached him.
Jack's brain is slow to process what Eden says as she spots him. He blames it on the late nights and minimal sleep he's been getting recently. As she got closer, it finally hit him. The scrubs - it had to be the scrubs. Anyone with a right sense of mind would be cautious if a stranger was sitting at their door, but even more weary with scrubs on. Or so, that's what he thought. Unless it's perfectly normal to assume death in these apartments happens quite often. Then maybe he should be the one not to linger in the hallways.
"Fortunately for you, I only have pens in these pockets. Which wouldn't be the best way to go out. And I don't think it would look good on my record either." Maybe in his lower pants pocket did he have trauma shears, but that'd be the same bluntness as a pen. "My name's Jack. I moved in a few months ago over there," He pauses to point at the door across from them. "And it looks like the mailman got mixed up with some letters." He holds the envelope up with both hands, it's edges digging into his fingertips as he spins it around for a second. "Are you Eden?" @edenxoconnell
Is there a particular place that makes your muse feel at home?
"I know this might sound completely bonkers, but the library. My house wasn't exactly known as the fun zone so despite having a full house of children, we were expected to keep everything tidy and have minimal distractions unless it was an extracurricular activity. I played the piano and my sister had the violin so sometimes it got a little loud."
Does your muse like to cook? Would they cook with another?
"If time permits, I do like to cook. Recently, I've been surviving off ramen noodles and tuna rice bowls. I can't say I won't make anything good or edible, but I like to see what happens when I put shit in a pan and let it do it's thing. So far, I've mastered pancakes and bacon."
🍍 Pineapple - What is their opinion on pineapple on pizza
"I won't ban you from my life if that's what you like on your pizza. But I am most definitely not getting it or trying it out. I normally stick with pepperoni, but those little cup ones that crisp up real good. Not the flat ones."
"Surprisingly, I've been handed a lot of babies in my lifetime. I don't know if it's because I have that sort of face that just screams 'give me all the babies and dump your whole life on me'. But I usually do pretty good now - I got the rocking down, patting the bottom in a good rhythm, and then they're usually asleep."

"Excuse me - hi. Can I get your opinion on something? What do you think would be more appropriate for a happy birthday, you're a pain in the ass type of card?" Raina questioned softly, her hands holding up a bouquet full of colorful flowers. "I'm more of a pastels type of girl, but it's not every day you give a guy flowers, so I'm not quite sure what the rules are in that case."
Jack isn't exactly no contact with his family even if it may seem like it with the minimal talking he does. Between work, his residency, and figuring out the new town - the last thing ever to cross his mind is calling his family. Until now as he browses through the different flowers. It'd be impossible to send his mother flowers from here, but he could get ideas.
"Doesn't everyone sort of hate roses? I would do that and ask to keep the thorns on them."
Bas can't say he's all that organized. He tries to be, but he also gets fairly overwhelmed when he can't figure out what he wants to do. His ADHD was something he was trying his best to keep maintained while working. Still, he did know how to file things without the need for glasses that were like an inch thick like the person filing at the courthouse the other day.
"No, I have a full time job unfortunately." He wished that he could have a more relaxing summer. "However, I'll probably take a week off work, use some of my vacation time up."
Jack understands the struggles of having a full time job and still wanting to live a somewhat decent balance of work and life. At the moment, he has no balance. He can't say much about it considering it's exactly what he signed up for.
"What do you do for work? Hopefully nothing too crazy that taking a week off won't cause the place to go up in flames."
