Her eyebrows shot up as soon as the offer was made. “Really?” There wasn’t much of anything that was keeping her on earth, just school and a career someday. But if she were to go with Quill, what would any of it matter? It was tempting, though she needed to think about what it would mean for her should Peter decide he’d had enough. “I don’t know.. I want to come with you, don’t get me wrong. But what happens to me if you decide you’ve made the wrong choice?”

He got just as excited as she did, the redhead beaming but he could see her mind working and it falters and at her question, the boy shakes his head, “I would never think of you as that, if you can believe me. I’m pretty sure you would tire of me before I would ever even think to call it.” Peter didn’t want to argue, it was a yes or no and if she doubted it, it would have to be a no. “I will always come back and visit you though..”

“Better now that you’re here,” she murmured, lightly running her hand across his shoulders. “Are you alright? How has space been treating you?” 

“Yeah, I’m fine. Space has been fine.” he pulled out a bracelet and handed it over, “Got ya something, it’s nothing great, but it’s from this city where no one’s been livin’ for years. Found it in some rubble. How’s Earth?”

“Hey, pretty lady.”

“Patrick, right?” she giggled before throwing her arms around her space boy. 

“Something like that.” he chuckled, hugging her close and kissed her cheek, “Its been far too long. How’ve you been?”

     “Brock Rumlow, and I don’t fuckin’ know, th’ last thing      I remember, I was on Earth, drinking a goddamn beer.”

“Rumlow, huh?” he looked at the man over, not feeling the slightest bit comfortable or reassured by this guy. “How did you get in here? Seriously, dude.”

“Peter Quill, a sight i’d rather NOT   see. What brings you to this little   decrepit part of New York?”

“I think they said the place was around here.”
