HOW DID I GO FROM SKINNY TO FAT TO LEAN????
I replaced my love of weed with a new love for food. I've always loved food but I didn't eat enough, ever. After I stopped smoking I replaced the dopamine hit I got from smoking with food. Need a hit, eat. I was training at the same time and I was finally gaining weight. I became obsessed with scale weight and was aiming for 100KG. When I first began I was 70KG. At my highest I was 97KG. It was only after some more self awareness developed that I realised I was getting FAT. This was difficult for me as I've always been lean, and enjoyed the benefits that come with that. This is where carnivore diet came in. After a year of eating 500G + of carbohydrates per day it was a welcome change, the weight start falling off instantly. Water weight at first, then the fat. Strength remained, I felt incredible. I Could not believe that all I had to do was eat meat and I would lose weight. This is the way to live.
it's so interesting to me how my relationship to food radically changed when i went carnivore. i'm not talking about respecting the animal i'm eating (that's something i came to terms with as a young teenager), but my ability to listen to my body, eat only when i'm hungry, feel motivated to cook and genuinely enjoy the act of eating. these are all things i had not experienced prior to changing my diet. i ate when i was bored, hated cooking, and attained little to no enjoyment from eating itself. i viewed it as a necessary chore so that i wouldn't keel over and die. oftentimes i would delay cooking until my blood sugar was so fucked that i'd be on the verge of fainting (yes, i was prediabetic, and no, i am not anymore).
now i can hear my body when it's asking for nutrients and i get up and cook when it does. and i enjoy eating. genuinely. i never thought before that my relationship with food or eating was unhealthy, but it definitely was. it feels so much better this way. eating is an enjoyable part of my day now, when it never was before. just another thing i wasn't expecting but which turned out to be life-changing.
As a fan of the carnivore diet, I am thrilled to share that my girlfriend has decided to join me on this eating regimen. For a while now, I have been extolling the benefits of this diet to her, and I am glad she has finally seen the light.
The carnivore diet is a diet that consists exclusively of animal products, such as meat, fish, dairy products, and eggs. It excludes all plant-based foods, including grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables. It aims to mimic the diets of our hunter-gatherer ancestors, who subsisted on meat and animal products for millions of years.

As a result, you eat less, and your body uses its stored fat for fuel, leading to weight loss and a leaner physique.
My girlfriend and I are excited to embark on this journey together. We have planned our meals, created a shopping list, and stocked up on our favorite cuts of meat. We are also going to monitor our progress by taking pictures and measurements regularly.
We know that the carnivore diet may be challenging at first, but we are determined to make it work for us. We also recognize the importance of eating high-quality animal products, so we will be sourcing our meat from trusted suppliers.
In addition to the physical benefits, we are also looking forward to the mental clarity and increased energy that come with the carnivore diet. By eliminating processed foods and sugars, we hope to feel more alert and focused throughout the day.
Overall, we are excited to see how the carnivore diet will transform our bodies and minds. We know it will be a challenging journey, but we are up for the challenge. With dedication, motivation, and support from each other, we believe we can achieve our desired level of fitness and health.
a reminder that when you are distancing yourself from people, situations and things that are toxic, but were a great priority in your life in the past, there will be times when you doubt if you could really do it. there will be times when you would want to crawl back to the comfort you had known. it may get lonely. sending love to all those people who are trying their best to hold up the choice to cut off toxic things even when the decision feels so utterly bitter. i want to remind you that there is no shame in missing the person, the situation or that thing, craving the comfort, wishing that things were different. there might even be instances where you fall back to the familiar patterns. and life will continuously show you why it didn't work out, continuously try to remind you that you deserve better. please do not shame yourself for struggling with this love. the lesson cannot be forced. the journey cannot be fast paced. let things flow. i promise you, at the end of this journey there is win, and there is a better future with people and places and things that truly belong to you and that you truly deserve. it can be a very lonely time, and i know that it's gnawing. it is painful. i am sending you lots of love and strength your way ♡

WHY CARNIVORE??
As a personal trainer and coach, I know how frustrating it can be to try out different diets and still feel lethargic, focused on food, constantly hungry, and not seeing any weight loss. It's a tough cycle to break, but it's important to understand why it's happening and how to overcome it.
One of the biggest reasons why diets can leave you feeling hungry and tired is that they often restrict the amount and type of food you eat. Many diets promote the idea of "calories in, calories out," where you simply have to consume fewer calories than you burn in order to lose weight. However, this approach is overly simplistic and doesn't take into account the fact that not all calories are created equal.
When you restrict calories and nutrients, your body can go into starvation mode, which slows down your metabolism and causes you to feel tired and sluggish. Your body also starts to crave high-calorie, high-carbohydrate foods, leading to intense food cravings and overeating.
Furthermore, many popular diets are unsustainable in the long term. For instance, very low calorie or low carbohydrate diets may result in rapid weight loss initially, but they can be hard to stick to in the long run. As soon as you go back to your regular eating habits, you'll likely regain the weight you lost.
My main issue with the typical decreasing carbs approach was my body was still reliant on them for energy, which left me feeling zapped. Especially at 97KG my body needed alot of fuel. I was constantly tired, thinking about food and just wishing this period of my life would be over. To give you some context I was 70 KG as a grown man. For my height this is ‘underweight’ and I was always slim, V-lines on my hips, vascular during exercise etc. So for me to be 97KG I was both muscular and carrying excess fat. It was crazy to me that i’d now developed an issue with overeating as i’d been used to having 4.5-5K calories per day for the past year.
So, what's the solution?
For me this was the carnivore diet. By cutting ALL carbohydrates and getting energy solely from fat, I maximised the energy I was getting through the day, maximised the protein i was getting from my decreased calories and also felt amazing. Now i’d been introduced to carnivore some years ago and it was the leanest i’d ever been in a matter of weeks. I thought this is the perfect time to reintroduce this and peel off the excess fat im carrying. Within weeks I was kilos down, this is likely to be water weight but the quick wins kept me coming. After this the weight started falling off. I was so happy. Weights in the gym have maintained or progressed, I am now fairly lean and will show you my journey to getting shredded to the bone.

MY CARNIVORE STORY
As the temperatures drop, and the holidays approach, many of us find ourselves struggling to maintain our diets and exercise routines. However, for some individuals, winter is the perfect time to make positive changes, especially when it comes to transitioning to a carnivore diet.
For those unfamiliar, the carnivore diet consists of eating only meat, fish, and animal products, such as eggs and dairy. Advocates of the diet claim it can help with weight loss, energy regulation, and improved mental clarity.
I recently started the carnivore diet in December and managed to lose an impressive 11kg by March. Remarkably, I found retaining my strength, gaining endurance, and experiencing no energy drop-offs; quite an achievement for transitioning to a meat-only diet during the winter months.
So, how did I do it?
First and foremost, I ensured my diet was balanced by consuming different types of meat. I used beef, pork, and chicken. I also focused on consuming high-quality meat, opting for grass-fed and organic sources where possible.
Furthermore, I was careful to consume enough fat. While it may seem counter-intuitive, consuming enough fat is crucial to providing the body with energy and keeping one satiated. Since my meals were purely meat , I made sure to add enough fat to their meat, such as cooking with butter and adding cheese when i was under my desired level of fat.
Finally, i was mindful of hydration levels, drinking plenty of water and mineral supplements to prevent any electrolyte imbalances.
In conclusion, transitioning to a carnivore diet during the winter months may seem daunting to some, but with the right approach, it can prove to be a successful way to shed weight, improve energy levels, and even improve physical performance. However, like any diet, maintaining balance and consuming high-quality sources of meat and fat is crucial to success. With the right approach, you too can achieve impressive results on this unconventional diet.
