Gris x Reader !Backseat makeout!
Summery ; Gris is the supporter sent to pick you up after a solo mission you did without supports, as in you snuck off to complete it.
at first Gris is upset at you, then he is worried for you, then he and reader have a tense moment before he caves into his inner thoughts.
!Pulled over to talk, mentions of being so frustrated ofc, end up kissing, intimate jokes which is mostly about not waiting for HQ.!
A/N ; You know what, I forgot I added A/N and I don't really have that much to say besides this one has a build up. This is while writing the actual story. I'll update again when I am done.
Done, and honestly only thing I have to say is that this was longer than expected, Genuinely. I thought this would be as short as the Enjin story.
Gris was driving with a grip that left dents in the steering wheel, the kind of grip that was going to compact the wheels grip to nothing.
You had went off, alone, Not an alone that you had support members with you but the kind of alone that meant you were purely a one man band. What the fuck went through your head? He was driven halfway up a wall mad when he heard you ran off before the support team, You could handle yourself but so could every other cleaner member and you were honestly the most important one to him.
But people make mistakes and that was a normal thing especially when learning, but you? He almost couldn't stomach the possibility of you messing up especially when you had no supporter with you.
He was the first gone, in fact, he didn't even have time to grab his hat or coat. He was in his muscle shirt which was something he never wears publicly especially not work related, his hat and coat still left in his locker in HQ.
He at least grabbed his gas mask.
However his driving? Let's say he would be making Enjin proud with how fast he sped to your location, He had the intel to find you but he wasn't going to ring your choker. Not yet, he knew by now that you'd be in battle or finishing up hopefully.
His eyes shifted from the 'Road' and to the speeds he was hitting, going past his own limits of the road but he honestly said screw it to it all, Eyes glancing over the gas before the road once more.
With you? You were as Gris suspected, finishing blow landing as swiftly as you could. You hadn't had a ring yet so you were safely assuming that you were either in trouble or haven't been found out yet..
However an approaching dust cloud told you otherwise, you saw the giant dust cloud before you could even see the supporter Jeep that was speeding to your location. "Fuck.." You could only murmur to yourself through your gas mask as you rubbed the back of your neck.
You took your Jinki(Whatever you want it to be) and deactivated as you sighed, the only sound being the settling garbage from the trash beast that had fallen apart within a somewhat controlled area.
You slowly walked away from the garbage piles to a more open area as you saw the Jeep hurdling in more and more clearly, already seeing the storm cloud which settled over Gris within the Jeep.
The Jeep swerved as it spun around for the passenger door to be of access, Gris only pressed the unlock button for the door and continued to look forward with visible deep breaths.
You opened the door and nervously stepped into the Jeep, Jinki set into an open/available space as you held your tongue. Buckling your seatbelt as you closed the door, Gris floored it once more as he pushed forward with a deep, Deep, breath. His fingers making a wave as he re-adjusts his grip, you could already see the indents on the steering wheel.
"I'm fine-" You tried murmuring in a means to ease his obvious unease but you seemed to only flick the trigger, Gris' eyes shot your way for a moment as he huffed out his deep breath.
"Yeah? What would you do if you weren't fine, hm?" Gris shot back with stern eyes, though they wavered with a underlying relief that he didn't even feel like he could act on in the moment.
"There was so much that could have gone wrong today, And you leaving was one thing that Did go wrong." He continued before you could chime in with a retort or explanation, "I know you are just as strong as any other person, But everyone can and does make mistakes so I don't want to hear that you are a flawless fighter or never mess up cause everyone does- Everyone Will mess up at some point." as he continued his voice raised a little.
Since you were so used to him driving so carefully, you never caught on to him speeding up more as he went on about his stress. You could see the Indents growing on the steering wheel, or what was left of the steering wheel at that.
"Gris," You muttered a bit under your breath, mostly out of shock from never seeing him drive like this.
He was about to respond in a slightly snappy tone but his gaze barely softened when he processed that you were staring at the speed, turning his eyes to the wheel and speed, His breath hitching for a moment before he sighed out. Slowing down as he glanced around for somewhere to sit in park, a Cover area for trash storms worked well enough as he pulled up to one within a few moments. The silence hanging in the air for a long moment after.
Gris slowly began prying his fingers from the steering wheel as each digit was perfectly imprinted into the handle, his head hanging for a short moment before he finally turned to you fully. "Why.." He asked under his breath with an almost exhausted tone, "Why did you risk yourself? Better yet, for what? what was the purpose of this Solo thing-" He asked in a tone that was like the very words he spoke were eating at him since he found out you left in HQ.
You took in a short breath at his words, he couldn't have said anything else? Why stab you in the heart so swiftly?
"I didn't mean to make you worry this much, I mean, I knew no matter what you'd be worried about me but I am strong enough to be sent on a solo mission and it's not like I had a squad of supports. It was just going to be you and Tomme, Why bother with the time when it was going to be quick??" You murmured out with a shrug, "Plus, People watching me and seeing their reactions sometimes makes me anxious sometimes even when I know I can do it." you almost huffed out as your eyes dragged away slowly to look out the front dashboard window.
"I didn't care about working as a support today, I was worried for you regardless. I know you're strong- Let's just accept that you sometimes mess up regardless of, what if you messed up beyond your control before I showed up then I or another even the other supports can't save you?" Gris ranted out for a moment, holding his tongue immediately afterwards. A short and quick sigh leaving him.
You still didn't respond but this time cause he was painfully right, you were probably being Impulsive and also reckless at that.
"No- no, You're right.. That was a little much from me, but just look at me.. Awe come on Sweetheat, I didn't-" Gris' throat clenched for a moment before he sighed in a softer way now, "Okay, I hear you. I really do, but let's agree to never do that again.. Please?" He murmured as he shakingly raised his hand and reached to you with a hesitancy. Since the steering wheel now had his handprints freshly indented, he almost seemed to worry to use his strength against you for a moment.
You of course looked at him, though admittedly in a subtle defiance at first, it quickly faded afterwards.
"Alright.." You muttered though being half sarcastic, your words held truth.. to a certain degree. Your eyes searching around for a moment as Gris held your gaze, waiting for an actual answer.
"Ok, ok. I will not do this again." You finally agreed, with a sigh of your own, "Is this Helping..? Or are you still upset with me right now?"
Gris seemed to have frozen up a little at your questions, He knew he was upset with your actions but he hadn't meant to make it seem like he was upset with You. "No, no. I am not upset with You as a whole but I am upset at the decision you made earlier today." He explained as his hand raised to rub the back of his neck.
"If it helps I'm kind of already having regrets over it-" You murmured a bit lowly as a joke, your own and his eyes slowly meeting, both of you relaxing a little more after your wrods.
"You're so fucking 'dorable.." Gris muttered under his breath as he carefully raised his hand to cup your face, a light tug like an offer as he slowly brought you closer to give you a gentle and slow kiss. It was caring, and at that he was almost like he was being gentler just to remind you that he wasn't upset with you.
Though as you two continued to exchange the gentle kisses, they slowly grow in pace, His gentle hand on your cheek was now dragged up to the back of your head.
He brought his other hand up now as you slowly came to realize that this kiss was growing, it was certainly one way to get rid of tension.
The kiss grew sloppier, both of you panting into the exchange of lips as he moves away for a short breath. No warning before he had pulled you into another kiss, this time with a gasp before your skins connected as he barely prepared himself.
"Mm, I'm not waiting for HQ.." He murmured into the kiss as a joke, as he and you were leaning in closer, The hand at the back of your head has massaged upwards before dragging down to the back of your neck now.
All meanwhile your own arm came up to reach around his neck while the other cupped around his cheek now, pulling yourself closer by the arm around his neck and he took a deep breath within the kiss.
Gris partly growled into the kiss before he shook his head, humming a soft no and had to peel himself away with this deep breath.
"Backseat," He stated as he nodded to the seats behind you two, already working to open his door and unbuckle his seatbelt.
"What?" you barely questioned, "Backseat, I'm not waiting 'till HQ." Gris stated once more in a sort of 'will not repeat' tone.
But you were basically forced to go climb into the backseat as Gris had already been entering the back doors, Having helped you crawl into the backseat with a few soft "Gentle", "Careful you don't fall" and "That's it."
No one questioned why you two took so long, luckily no one cared to say anything about how disheveled you two looked when entering HQ.
