MARVELOUS follows Tip, a youth who has suffered under the control of an occultist experimenter (and undercover witch) named Mombi for as long as he can remember. When Mombi's dealings in magic produce something unexpectedly innocent, Tip is forced to steal the Witch's newborn creature and run headlong into an Oz he was born in but has never truly known. As Tip learns to love Oz and regains confidence in himself, he accidentally finds himself in the midst of an insurrection that exposes Oz's deep scars and threatens to tear everything apart. As his home destroys itself from the inside out, Tip begins to realize that the salvation of Oz is intricately linked to the realization of his identity and the discovery of his purpose.

MARVELOUS is a communal passion project dedicated to adapting L. Frank Baum's The Marvelous Land of Oz into an audiovisual experience for the modern era, created by a new generation of the young at heart. We are most in need of:

for we get to see the brightness of the sun, and take in its gorgeous orange rays for weeks on end

then we are ripped from our homes, placed on your porches, baked into pies and blended into lattes, carved into jack-o-lanterns with fires lit within our souls, and consumed without so much as a thought for our welfare

we experience all that life has to offer: pain, glory, darkness and light

and when our labor is over, we return to the ground from whence we came, satisfied to be nothing more than dirt beneath your feet...

but then we miss the sun, and life begins again
