(Btw not a poem just random words I threw into the void)

I’m lost.

I can’t seem to find my way out of the darkness, it’s all covered in a fog, now.

I still visit you sometimes, we still sit together, though there’s no light left in your eyes.

Your words fall empty to my ears.

I’ve heard this all before.

The moon blooms in the night sky, just as it must every night.

Perhaps it’s tired, I think, as I gaze upwards.

Unfortunate, how duty digs its claws in.

And every night, despite seeking to end this cycle of torment, it knows it must rise again.

The moon has lost its glow.

For there is no sun to cast its splendour upon its wilting form.

Darkness crawls out from the shadows of regret.

And I spend another night with you alone.

You tell me it’ll be okay,
