on today's episode of aftg characters as things that I have done :
Aaron has at one point gotten run over by a car on his way to an exam, and upon waking up from his short bout of unconsciousness ( like 30 seconds it's fine ) immediately tried to get up gather his things and leave because " i'm fine, i can still make it to the exame on time" while bleeding profusely from his mouth and kinda swaying on his feet .

No, unless you are actively experiencing internal bleeding then your organs are not covered in blood. They are however wet, but it's cerebrospinal fluid and mucus that keeps them that way.
Trust me you do not want them to be in any other condition. If they were covered in blood then there would be no way for your body to effectively circulate that blood, leading you to bleed out. As for them being wet, I personally would not want to experience dry friction on my organs so I am more than okay with that
Also just to clear up any further confusion, cerebrospinal fluid (as the name implies) is contained to just your brain and spinal cord. The rest are protected by mucous

Yes but technically bug blood isn't actually blood it's hemolymphe, that is to say plasma sometime hematocites and a couple other proteins, the reason for this is that insectes are so small they don't even even need blood to carry oxygene to their cells and some of them kinda just have trachea and stigmats (if these are not the proper English words sorry I have done all my higher education aka biologie studies in a non anglophone country and google translate lies) which are essentially open holes that just let the air through and straight to the cells .
So, small rectification it is not normal to have blood on your organs even if you are an insect as insectes do not have blood in the way mammals do

I hate the post "I never went skying" Thea scene because it seems so out of character for both Neil and Andrew in a way that I can't make fit with the rest of the story .
Like you're telling me that Andrew would let some random person who he's never met just grab Kevin and roughly handle his broken hand you know the most vulnerable part of him that he's shown to be extremely protective of and do nothing ? You know Andrew for whom it was an huge deal to let Neil lightly slap Kevin on the back of the head . And that Neil "started going off at riko for scaring Kevin even if it was essentially stepping in front of a gun and daring him to pull the trigger" would let Thea shout at Kevin and not believe him about his injury without a "you know I get it ..." type of intervention .
Like i hate the way Thea is treated both in the books and in the fandom cause it's clearly set up to show that they'll probably get back together and be endgame ( Kevin mentioning that thea will be watching the final) without any form of acknowledgement of the fact that even when we barely know anything about the relationship it's clearly toxic and very problematic.
And in the fandom most people just don't care ? I have weirdly specific hcs about after characters and cars so here they are : 1 ) Andrew and Neil both prefer manual but for different reasons :Ā - for Andrew it's because they're just so much more fun to drive, like if you enjoy driving there are few things more satisfying than getting the car to pirate just right when you are switching gears .Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā - for Neil I think it's more if a negative association with automatics : because he learned to drive in Europe in the early 2000s he absolutely learned mostly on manual as they preferred over here and automatics have only become a little more common recently but if they were being chased and it was an option Mary would a hundred percent try to find an automatic because that means less things to worry about inside the car and more attention for whoever was chasing them so now automatics remind Neil of his time on the run and he's not a huge fan of driving them
2) Andrew will never by an electric or hybrid because both Neil and Kevin hate the highpitched sound they make when they accelerate and brake ( no this is not inspired by my parents recently acquiring a hybrid and the fact that I hate driving it because of the noises I don't know why you'd think that)
3) Neil and Kevin will be present for every future cars that Andrew buys, he will not listen to any comments/suggestions they make about it but he will make sure they're there even if it's really not practical
People who're all like oh you only hate Thea cause she's black piss me of because no I hate Thea because she got in a relationship with a teenager while he was trapped in what was essentially a cult and she was a full grown adult and then was mad at him for not telling her when he left said cult . Like her acting like a bad person has nothing to do with her being balck and I hate her for her actions .

This has been in my head all day because some people have asked my opinion on RPF, specifically because both Hudson and Connor have spoken up about it, so now Iām spending my lunch break writing a rant.
For those of you who donāt know, RPF is āReal People Fiction,ā or writing fanfic about real people. Itās basically likeā¦intense shipping. The latest discourse has been about Hudson and Connor from the HR fandom because itās gotten WAY parasocial and both of them have expressed their discomfort.
So how do I feel about it?
I think that 99 percent of the time, RPF ruins fandoms.
Hereās the thing: If you want to talk to your friends in a private space (discord chat, text chain, whatever) about how you ship two people or they look good together, then thatās your right! We all have had a moment where we see two (or more) people standing together and think ādamn they would be cute together.ā But the moment you turn it into a public, stalker-y, parasocial thing, it gets SO incredibly inappropriate.
I think we forget that celebrities are people. Sure, theyāve chosen a job that puts them in the public eye, but that doesnāt mean that they deserve to have their private lives analyzed with a fine-toothed comb. I think we can all agree that if any of us were in their place, it would be INCREDIBLY uncomfortable to be continually pushed towards someone that we insist weāre just friends with. Even IF they were dating, theyāve said itās not our businessā¦.so it isnāt.
And hereās the worst part: Weāve seen so many examples of when RPF gets out of control and affects the relationships of the people being shipped. Weāve seen friendships fall apart because two REAL people become uncomfortable with their every move being analyzed.Ā
So why in Godās name would someone who claims to like the HR fandom and want it to succeed continue to push this?
The idea is simple:Ā
Even if you have no empathy for Hudson and Connor as people (and, like, you should because they seem like genuinely good guys)...this level of RPF is threatening to ruin the future of the fandom that weāve come to love.
How can we expect them to show chemistry on-scene when they canāt even spend time together without being hounded? How can we expect them to show any type of love for each other when they know itāll be picked apart?Ā
Iām genuinely terrified that the insanity that this is causing could ruin season two and beyond just because now the world is acting insane and ruining such a good thing. Like, even if you have no respect for these two boys, please stfu and let go of the āHudcon are datingā agenda.Ā
And if you MUST write RPF, put it on ao3. Ao3 is a site where people actively have to SEEK OUT those topics, you canāt stumble upon it. Unless one of them searches for the tag, they canāt find it. Leave it off of Twitter and Tiktok and all that shit.Ā
Leave these boys alone and let them cook, for fuckās sake.

You cannot convince me that Neil doesn't have some health issues that he just thinks are ... normal . Andrew will walk in the dorm one day just in time to see Neil pass out and fall face first on the couch and run over only for Neil to stand up and look so confised by his worried expression and when Andrew asks what the fuck just happened he's just like "oh you know I just stretched too hard so I blacked out for like a second " like it's the most normal thing in the world and he refuses to go see a doctor about it because "it's always happened if it was going to kill me I would be dead already "

Back on my bullshit of projecting my issues unto aftg characters, I think that both the twinyards have days where foods all just tast kinda off , to mildly disgusting without any reason. I think this would have been so confusing to nicky when he first took them in cause he was trying so hard to figure out what they liked to eat (he might have had a head start for aaron cause they knew each other before but also they haven't seen each other in a while and he never cooked for him) and neither of the twins would answer when he tried to ask, and he finally figures out a meal that both actually seem to like and then one day he makes it and one of them picks at it and ( if it's aaron) looks vaguely nauseous as he's trying to eat it and nicky is so confused cause he made it the exact same way as before .

Anglophones complaining about the (silent) french H will never stop being funny to me (bilingual french/english and fluentish in spanish) cause english has so many letters that are silent but like only sometimes and like thereās no real rules for it just āØļøvibes āØļø.
You'll be talking to an anglophone and theyāll say that there arenāt any silent letters in English but then you ask them to say what or violet or thorough and like half the letters just disappear . But then they complain when another language has a single letter that's silent with reliable rules and no exceptions.

after accidentally finding myself in three separate fandoms that all canonically have parts in my native language (french) while also not being popular or translated in said language I am here to remind you that Google translate is not your best friend it is in fact a misleading villain .
Because even if it is hilarious to read things like the "i speak your language better than you do mine" scene from capri so horribly translated that if you did not know what was supposed to be said you'd have a hard time figuring it out all the while Laurent's internal monologue is going on about how it Damen speeks french so well, it also takes you out of the story completely and since changing the language is not necessary (some people just put different languages in italics and stuff like that and that works just fine if not better) .
So if you do want to include those parts in the language that they're meant to be in :
1 ) deepl tends to be much more accurate than Google translate and just as easy to use
2) I am more than happy to translate (or check over / correct) french parts for captive prince heated rivalry and all for the game fics just reach out
Also this might be just a me thing but if you're going to include it feels disrespectful to half ass it even if the majority of your readers don't understand it (like seriously I saw a captive prince that used and Italian word and said it was french wtf)
