Aliceās Adventures in Wonderland
1.)Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Adults in Alice are unstable, impetuous, brutal, and ruthless. Although many adults in Alice represent all four qualities, the Duchess directs them the most in the novel. The Duchess showed no effort in taking care of her child and put the child in much danger. Many items were flying towards and her child, coming from the chef but did not take any type of action at all. The baby could have been severely injured and The Duchess probably wouldnāt have noticed. The baby could have possibly inhaled too much smoke in the air but the mother did not care to realize that. Another reason how The Duchess possesses these qualities is that she took advantage of Alice by not telling her but commanding her to take care of the child without any confirmation at all.Ā The Duchess was also pugnacious to Alice after Alice brought up the Earth and its axis. The Duchess then aggressively ordered for head to be chopped off.
Ā 2.) Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Idealized means to represent or come by as someone greater than which the person truly is. Carol took a deeper look in little girls, which made him look like a pedophile and made people think differently of him. This was not the case, he simply thought of them as smart and bizarre like himself. He would slightly compare the younger girls to Alice. Carol took interest in little girls because they were curious and always searched for something new. Wanting to learn new things eventually will give the brain more information and knowledge. Alice then is symbolized by the little girls, meaning even though she is physically young and small, her mind can still expand learning new things and finding the answer to her questions.
Ā 3.)Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Carol Probably thought the point of this novel was for people to enjoy their childhood. The last paragraph emphasizes how Alice looks back and remembers all her happy days and joys with the fantasy of Wonderland. Ā The paragraph explains the process of Alice growing up to an adult but still having the mind of a child and still able to enjoy life. As Alice basically lived the dream she develops qualities adults have. She also gains more confidence as she goes through many obstacles during the dream. Ā The sisters thoughts slightly decreases the problems of Alice and makes the journey more than what it really is.
Ā 4.) Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Alice in Wonderland is full of fantasy, animals, and other childish animations such as the men of cards, the talking of animals and the smiling cat. Many children tend to picture themselves going into another world like Alice and might find the novel quite interesting. Although itās frequently thought of as a childrenās story, I beg to differ. The book contains violence and activities that children shouldnāt be quite familiar with at a young age. The Caterpillar smoking the hookah out of the pipe is one example. Children may not also be able to comprehend what Teenagers at my age see some of the material as but some parts in the book portray drug use, if you take a deeper look. The Cheshire cat was always incredibly happy and laughing heartily, being one of the symptoms when you are on something like marijuana. Alice ate the mushrooms to change her size incredibly symbolizing false visions. The mushrooms could have represented shrooms. The Rabbit was always in a rush and moving extremely quick without losing energy, this could represent āspeedā. Ā Of course I understand children may not be familiar with any of this content but I still suggest it shouldnāt be considered a children novel.
