Blooming Almond Orchard Styled Shoot

We get to work with some pretty talented folk all of whom are incredible artists in their craft. The best part of collaborating on a styled shoot is seeing our peers dream up beauty and bring it to life.

I had the opportunity to meet Olivia of Olivia Smartt Photography last June at the Catelli's Grand Opening (remember that post?).... an insanely awesome event. We soon became friends on Facebook and began following each others work. Early this year I got a message from Olivia asking to do a styled shoot with her... something about a blooming almond orchard. Many phone calls and Google docs later we brought this baby to life. As I was about to bring my own baby to life (8 months pregnant), I couldn't make the trek down to the actual shoot so I planned, coordinated, and styled this gem from afar. It turned out pretty well considering I couldn't shift things with my own two hands. As seen on Grey Likes Weddings here.

Our storyline goes as follows: a young lady falls asleep reading a romance novel only to "wake up" in the middle of a blooming almond orchard where her 'Prince Charming' whisks her away to their fairytale elopement and dinner for two under the blooms.

Real Wedding: Sydney + Zach at Bridal Veil Lakes

Once a 'Zag always a 'Zag {that's Gonzaga Graduates for those of you not in the know}. Sydney and Zach had quite the platform to build a marriage on. Together for 5.5 years, with an English bull dog as a fur child, these two love birds are the real deal. Their stunning garden themed wedding at Bridal Veil Lakes was captured beautifully by the amazing husband and wife team that is Jake and Anna of Sweetlife Photography.
