He gave two siblings a chance to try to find a way to cure becoming a demon despite his duty to do otherwise. In the manga he helped Mitsuri up when Tengen accidentally knocked her over at the first pillar meeting we see. He wanted to try and befriend Sanemi by giving him his favorite snack.

I had to check it out a bit in the second Kimetsu fanbook and turns out... KAGAYA DID! I forgot I translated this part before here, my bad 🥲

Based on what this implies, Kagaya had male siblings AND female siblings, but I could not find anything that indicated their number, so I don't know if he is the oldest, or how many siblings did he have. Also based on that as well, it seems like his living female siblings were most likely married off early, which is unlike the fate young Kiriya, Kuina and Kanata had (the latter two lived long and had descendants, while Kiriya is still alive and had a great happy family in present timeline).
