“...I’m so flattered you’re concerned.” Mismatching those life-altered surprised eyes, Ivan looked back, unfazed and unbothered by Longweis' familiar character; displeased he began chipping away at this wall of theatrics he wore. “Devils like still waters.” Stated, sure of himself. Concern unable to shake his voice as it had yet to sprout past a parched seedling. Leaving Ivan empty of intentions as the two struggled through mutual distrust until one decided to give. Unlikely. “If you’re going to let little devils occupy yourself the least you could do is introduce them. I could try scaring them out. Like you do with hiccups. Or holding you upside down till they fall out-”

“Sounds like someone is projecting!”

“My Nokia? I only brought this fossil out so you don’t feel insecure. And hey- if you insult this, you also insult our dearest Finland. Oh, please, don’t do that. Think of the sweet Finnish man. How could you.” Pleaded in a dead flat tone. “Anyways, why do you want me to leave so badly?”

“Actually, I’m quite pleased with the heat.” More like confessing to be tortured. Only armed with a folded map with a newfound purpose to fan off a sunny beat-down. “A little hot,” he confessed, popping a few buttons loose as if it helped; it didn’t. “... Yes, I’ll take you up on that offer. Hm, I greatly loved this sweet cane sugar drink last time I visited. Besides, what is the point of hot weather if not to enjoy something cold and sweet?”

“Interesting.” Doesn’t fancy explaining himself further. Instead, he lends an ear to her train of thought as it puzzled him; itching at the back of his mind. Growing curious, he couldn’t quite wrap his head around what she was saying. Ivan caught himself taking it much too seriously. Eri was not the maze of mind worth picking; however, there was something about her troubles bringing him in. Leaving his cloudy thoughts he came back to current moment they shared. His features pinched into a serious expression.  “Depends, I’ll need to see the dog before I can make any decisions.” Gesturing her in they met in the middle; giving one long hard look at the friendly canine paused in a state of slobbery happiness. Tilting his gaze away, Ivan hid his judgment within the tea cup. A steam rising from the cup, keeping that smugness to himself. The quiet he put between them giving enough time for the criticism to fall off the words; steeped in thought till he was ready. “Yes, those sure are some nice puppy pixels. Reminds me of... What are those-- things-- they’re small, circular, have a little critter in there, and they can shit themselves to death. Now those were fun. What happened to those?” A tamagotchi. Oh, just the thought of all the time he wasted on that pixel granted him somewhat of an understanding. “Is that one of those? It looks different. I’m curious how this new version upsets you so much. Tell that truth.”
