this is how I interpreted it

but I’m seeing a lot of “last chance” theories for the end of ch30

and now I am very curious how others interpreted that moment

BUT by the end of chapter 30 Kagi is like … actually I’m not strong and this is my breaking point … I don’t think it’s a “last chance” thing because it’s OBVIOUS Hirano loves Kagi but… Kagi is like … Hirano is noticing me, he’s blushing when I compliment him… I just want to kiss him … and then what’s different is rather than fall apart and wait like usual Kagi does actually kiss him this time… he is pushing the boundaries of their relationship bc he doesn’t want things to stay the same

I’m just so curious how Hirano will take it like if he’ll push Kagi away or be okay with it or what..

See I read the ch29 as from Kagiura’s perspective:

1. Hirano’s asking if he wants to kiss, to

2. oh wait no Hirano doesn’t want to kiss, to

3. oh WAIT WHAT so he is okay with kissing as long as no one’s around???

So I guess it’s really up to how you interpret these panels??

Bc if Kagi thinks he means the usual scope of touches, then him kissing Hirano is totally him trying to push the boundary, especially since he’s convinced at this point that Hirano returns his feelings in some capacity.

But if Kagi thinks he means kissing, then him kissing Hirano is him saving it for later when they’re behind closed doors?

Chapter 28, he asked for a hug from Hirano in the dorm laundromat, and chapter 29 shows him wanting to do their 10 seconds outside where literally anyone could see them. Really, the only worry he has about being open about his feelings is with Hanzawa and his "homophobic" attitude. Makes me wonder if it will be like that even when he becomes a professional basketball player.

Like, will he be interviewed about how he'll celebrate a victory, and he'll proudly say that he's going to have a fun night with Hirano? Or, if we consider when he becomes a third year and Hanzawa leaves for college, will he plainly say he can't date because he has a boyfriend?

I was scrolling through tumblr when I read this one post of @skybluekagikun (I’ll link it up in the hashtags — check it out) and I REALLY was thinking this kind of situation might/ can happen in the next chapter, because ngl they reallllly looks like Kagiura and Hirano… and if this does happen, then we are so damn blind… cause she literally gave us a sneak peak 😂

1. Why would Sensei waste two panels for a random manga of Miyano?

2. Why do the characters look so much like them?

3. and the conversation…?

The last point makes me think maybe the situation will happen, but the "Hirano" is actually Kagiura and the "Kagiura" is actually Hirano. Because

— „You don’t know if you love me…?“ —

this fits so much to their situation, because we don’t really know if Kagi kissed him because he thought he was gonna reject him again(?) or because he knew he was gonna say that he loves him back(?).

— „How about now?“ —

With this expression of disappointment and a slight hint of guilt is a possible outcome of the situation after their "kiss".
