the bit in spyro 3 where after you set fire to her and get all your gems back moneybags abstracts and you see her tragic backstory about how she rejected transition and really doubled down into business and being hated as an absolute abhorrent capitalist to avoid facing her true self and then you can chase her down and get more gems but she's into it now

only at the beginning here so can't verify if this remains true for the whole game/series but the levels in spyro feel so liminal to me. they are really abstract and don't really represent a place so much as an idea of a place. you couldn't really gather in town square with its many ledges of awkward heights and like stone hill feels like a castle mostly occupied by hostile shepherds and wild rams. it doesn't correlate to anything but it feels like it does. it feels good to explore. man i really want to go and set fire to moneybags I'm only in the first game but I'm really gonna get him soon
