Still have been rolling around defernull Flowery, and also a little bit of the rest of the bouquet. ramble under the line vvvvv
My idea for the bouquet gang in defernull was that they are actually pressed flowers. defernull Asgore had kept them alive and pristine for as long as he could, but the years passed on and evidently was testing the limits he was already pushing. Obsessed with maintaining their beauty, yet faced with the marching inevitability of their age and mortality: he decided to start pressing his wedding flowers when they would start showing signs of wear or age, to keep his perfect bouquet- the memories it held- eternally pristine. The golden flower is the only one still kept alive. It's drooping and isn't very vibrant, and it had been for a while now. Yet Asgore couldn't seem to bring himself to give up on keeping it alive. Well, anyways- the pressed flowers' existence is... strange. They're people, but their personalities and hopes and dreams are separate from the ones their bodies had. Their bodies, in life, weren't exactly people, and in death they were even less so. So just like any other inanimate-object-turned-darkner, those dried flower petals became a blank canvas for new personalities to emerge. For all they know, their (invented) history in the Flower Kingdom is the life they've always had. Flowery didn't quite understand that they were their own people, beyond who and what their bodies used to be.
