You probably know this already, but I'm an artist! I mostly draw cutesy animals, but I do love detective fiction, horror, and sci-fi! I am biased towards manga and 90s-00s media aimed at snot-nosed boys and depressed girls. x)
For my artwork, I use Clip Studio Paint EX, and MS Paint when I'm feeling evil. I also like to use Turner gouache paint.

I read somewhere (forgot already D:) that Jumba and Stitch actually have very similar faces and features but with different proportions, and that is just too cute to me... papa....
I genuinely wonder if people realize how many projects get abandoned because the readership "wasn't there", when in reality, the readership just stayed silent. It's a big thing in trad pub that book series get discontinued because readers pirate the books or wait until the series is finished to buy a copy, leading the publisher to think that nobody actually wants the book enough to continue the series, but it happens with indie creators too.
I've discontinued a lot of free, online series because it's not worth putting 3-5 hours a week into posting a project for no readers. Sometimes I finish the series for me but just never post it again, other times I don't finish it at all because it feels more worthwhile to put my time into other things. Sometimes I hear from readers who are sad or upset that I didn't finish something they were liking, but the *reason* it never got finished is because I didn't know anyone liked it. If you like something, tell the creator, tell your friends, make some noise about it. If you would be sad if a story never finished, make that interest known because one of my biggest considerations before discontinuing a series is "will people miss this? Will I be letting people down" and 9/10 times, I come to the conclusion of "no, it doesn't even seem like anyone's reading this" only to learn after I've moved on that apparently someone was.
I've said this before in a different way, and this post said it so well. With real examples.
If you like something, tell people.
If you want more content from an artist or author, if you like their stuff, tell them. It will give them creative fuel to keep going. And often it gives them other resources as well.
Recommend a work to other people. Leave a comment or a review. It doesn't have to be long, just genuine, a sentence or two.
Not many people know that a book's success is judged by book reviews as well as sales. Review the book on Amazon or another site to help it pass the metric of success and be recognized by publishers and retailers.
Talking about it amongst yourselves in a Discord server or whatever doesn't count, by the way. You have to tell the creator, too. They're not going to hear about anything that gets said in your little server unless you tell them about it.

I have been a fan of the Mother series since I first played Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and I'm Gen Z, so Undertale in my tween years was like crack for me. I guess that makes Deltarune heroin?
Both games are a master class in using the medium of video games to its fullest potential to tell a story.
Something I've come to learn since then is that I love mysteries, and my toxic(?) trait is that I love speculation. I don't entirely understand Deltarune-- it's a very loaded story haha, and I'm all the more jealous of Toby Fox for writing it-- yet I still enjoy it to the utmost.
Most of my thoughts and theories have already been said by others (which is also the reason I don't draw much fanart... sorry!), but I wanted to write down some of my speculation before the release of the chapter, so we can look back on this later, and I can either be known as the Most Media Literate Man On Earth, or a complete fool. x)
General chapter 5 stuff
Today is the day of the festival! That means Asriel's visiting, right? He/Flowey, Frisk, and Gerson are my favorites from Undertale... ah, and this chapter is flower-themed... Hm...
People have been arguing over his appearance, whether he will look more like Toriel or Asgore, hahahaha. I'm leaning towards the Toriel path. His adult form in Undertale looks more like her. Although, I'm sure he will come back from college looking edgy and emo with dyed hair and piercings or something and scare his mom. No matter what he looks like, I can't wait to see him! Part of the tragedy in Undertale is that he was never able to grow up, so it's nice to see him doing well... at least for a little. I do have a feeling he will be wrapped up in the prophecy with Kris, like how he tried to save monsterkind with Chara.
When I first played Undertale, Alphys was my favorite. She was adorable because she's so smart and also so stupid. How I love awkward scientist characters! x) Unfortunately, these days, I want to pummel her UT-self for her 2015-I'm-So-Anime-Trash-posting dialogue, but that's just a me thing xD
I don't think Alphys and Asgore had many direct conversations within the game, though it's clear they had respect for one another. Asgore made Alphys the royal scientist, and Alphys... has a crush on him. LOL
I can't recall if that has been brought up in DR yet? If it hasn't, it will now!! (Especially since she believes that Undyne has started to ignore her...) The Japan-theming of the dark world has to be partly Alphys's fault... she was Asgore's manga dealer... if she stumbles in here, she will have a great time. Maybe. I dunno yet. Hahaha.
Additionally, Alphys is Mettaton's friend in UT, so perhaps the ghosts may get involved? Cuz Mad Mew Mew is animanga-related, too. I love Mettaton, and his relationship with Tenna is cute, so this is my bias speaking here.
Speaking of Tenna and my bias, Asgore has a TV. I hope the TV is a beautiful and evil woman.
Uh.... Asgore himself... I am going to shit myself hearing a remix of his UT theme. I am excited to find out what exactly's wrong with him xD just, I dunno if I have any specific thoughts... I want to know why he was kicked off the police force! What did this have to do with Dess? And if it is related to Dess, then why is Carol so supportive of him, and Toriel isn't? Hrmmmgnnnmmgh...
Ah, and Rudy. I think Rudy will start dying in this chapter. I dunno if he's gonna die for real in this one or the next but that man is deaaaaad. It's gonna be a fuckin nightmare LOL. Noelle will be sad, duh, but just imagine how it gets worse on the weird route. Carol will deal with her grief by becoming even more closed-off and stupid people will think she is only acting this way because she is 10000% evil and the true villain of the Undertale Franchise.
My crack theory is that Susie will gather his dust and try to revive him in a dark world like Gerson was, or at least postpone his death in a dark world to make Noelle happy. That would be really sad but really funny to watch.

Initially, my thought was, "Maybe he's been inside the whole time because he has been preparing something for the festival!", and while that sounds fun, it doesn't seem right to me. I did see others' speculation recently, which made more sense to me. It was something along the lines of "He wanted to join the royal guard in UT, so here he wants to join the police force. He has been inside trying to solve the disappearance of Dess." That seems so much more accurate to me.
Forgotten man
It was hard for me to put my thoughts together in a coherent way for a long time. I knew the Forgotten Man had something to do with Gaster, but he couldn't be the Gaster that's messing with the game, right? He seems powerless.
That was until I saw another person describe Forgotten Man as (royal scientist) Gaster's DR equivalent, and that's when my brain became at peace.
Let me rest my brain for a moment... Apple Girlington
Apple Girlington is Toby Fox's silly old Touhou OC. Since the chapter is Japan + plant-themed, and from Kris's apple symbolism, people are speculating that she will appear in some way. I think that would be cute because I like apples.
She sort of reminds me of Mad Mew Mew...?
I hope that she would look like a jack-o-lantern apple, or like the alternate apple Scarfys in Kirby Super Star Ultra.
What did Susie shatter?
Does it have to do with a character dying? Her and Ralsei were pretty vague about it... If it had to do with Kris dying, I think she would have immediately ran towards them, and if it was about herself, I think she would have reacted in another manner entirely-- so I think it's something serious about Ralsei, or perhaps the Darkners in general.
The Dark Worlds represent escapism. Discarding escapism would mean discarding the Darkners too, right? And it's disheartening, because they feel like real people to Lightners, just as real people become connected with fiction. But the Darkners (and the characters you love, probably) ultimately want you to make real bonds in the real world. So when the real world sucks, well... that's probably why Dess got lost inside of the Dark Worlds.
This may be the problem of Asgore in Chapter 5, or Noelle after Rudy passes away. Or even Susie at some point...

I'm not opposed to human Dess or transfem Ralsei, either would be cool and both make sense, but I don't think it would add much to the story, at least from what we currently know of it. (Transfem Berdly on the other hand...)

Ralsei and flowers
I remembered suddenly about the Ralsei in flowers t shirt sold on Fangamer. The description was something like, "Isn't he always getting mixed up with flowers? Wait, no he isn't." That always seemed fishy to me! But not too fishy, otherwise it wouldn't be merch... Anyways, here comes Ralsei into flowers. Hopefully the flowers aren't him reborn fucked up and evil.
Police passcode
From Napstablook's dialogue, it seems Undyne doesn't have access to the shelter code if it isn't in the police station... so it's either at her house or Asgore has it from being a former police officer.

The ending
Maybe a bit too far away from now, but I've had this idea where, to stop the prophecy from continuing, the player is asked to stop playing the game-- like how Flowey asks you to leave everyone alone after completing UT's pacifist route. This was just a crack idea until I realized that Susie said she would prefer to not have an ending in the Gerson fight. And, oh boy, what a dilemma it would be.... Do we respect the characters enough to leave them in stasis? Or are we curious enough to see everything through to the end?
Shadow crystals
mmmmm im schleepy something something gerson dialogue again. gerson wasnt tricked by friend. lord of the hammer chapters were maybe alluding to secret bosses. Maybe Flower King only burns down if you get all the shadow crystals. Or weird route. Or both or neither.

When I first played Undertale, Alphys was my favorite. She was adorable because she's so smart and also so stupid. How I love awkward scientist characters! x) Unfortunately, these days, I want to pummel her UT-self for her 2015-I'm-So-Anime-Trash-posting dialogue, but that's just a me thing xD
I don't think Alphys and Asgore had many direct conversations within the game, though it's clear they had respect for one another. Asgore made Alphys the royal scientist, and Alphys... has a crush on him. LOL
I can't recall if that has been brought up in DR yet? If it hasn't, it will now!! (Especially since she believes that Undyne has started to ignore her...) The Japan-theming of the dark world has to be partly Alphys's fault... she was Asgore's manga dealer... if she stumbles in here, she will have a great time. Maybe. I dunno yet. Hahaha.
Additionally, Alphys is Mettaton's friend in UT, so perhaps the ghosts may get involved? Cuz Mad Mew Mew is animanga-related, too. I love Mettaton, and his relationship with Tenna is cute, so this is my bias speaking here.
Speaking of Tenna and my bias, Asgore has a TV. I hope the TV is a beautiful and evil woman.
Uh.... Asgore himself... I am going to shit myself hearing a remix of his UT theme. I am excited to find out what exactly's wrong with him xD just, I dunno if I have any specific thoughts... I want to know why he was kicked off the police force! What did this have to do with Dess? And if it is related to Dess, then why is Carol so supportive of him, and Toriel isn't? Hrmmmgnnnmmgh...
Ah, and Rudy. I think Rudy will start dying in this chapter. I dunno if he's gonna die for real in this one or the next but that man is deaaaaad. It's gonna be a fuckin nightmare LOL. Noelle will be sad, duh, but just imagine how it gets worse on the weird route. Carol will deal with her grief by becoming even more closed-off and stupid people will think she is only acting this way because she is 10000% evil and the true villain of the Undertale Franchise.
My crack theory is that Susie will gather his dust and try to revive him in a dark world like Gerson was, or at least postpone his death in a dark world to make Noelle happy. That would be really sad but really funny to watch.

Initially, my thought was, "Maybe he's been inside the whole time because he has been preparing something for the festival!", and while that sounds fun, it doesn't seem right to me. I did see others' speculation recently, which made more sense to me. It was something along the lines of "He wanted to join the royal guard in UT, so here he wants to join the police force. He has been inside trying to solve the disappearance of Dess." That seems so much more accurate to me.
Forgotten man
It was hard for me to put my thoughts together in a coherent way for a long time. I knew the Forgotten Man had something to do with Gaster, but he couldn't be the Gaster that's messing with the game, right? He seems powerless.
That was until I saw another person describe Forgotten Man as (royal scientist) Gaster's DR equivalent, and that's when my brain became at peace.

Apple Girlington is Toby Fox's silly old Touhou OC. Since the chapter is Japan + plant-themed, and from Kris's apple symbolism, people are speculating that she will appear in some way. I think that would be cute because I like apples.
She sort of reminds me of Mad Mew Mew...?
I hope that she would look like a jack-o-lantern apple, or like the alternate apple Scarfys in Kirby Super Star Ultra.
What did Susie shatter?
Does it have to do with a character dying? Her and Ralsei were pretty vague about it... If it had to do with Kris dying, I think she would have immediately ran towards them, and if it was about herself, I think she would have reacted in another manner entirely-- so I think it's something serious about Ralsei, or perhaps the Darkners in general.
The Dark Worlds represent escapism. Discarding escapism would mean discarding the Darkners too, right? And it's disheartening, because they feel like real people to Lightners, just as real people become connected with fiction. But the Darkners (and the characters you love, probably) ultimately want you to make real bonds in the real world. So when the real world sucks, well... that's probably why Dess got lost inside of the Dark Worlds.
This may be the problem of Asgore in Chapter 5, or Noelle after Rudy passes away. Or even Susie at some point...

I'm not opposed to human Dess or transfem Ralsei, either would be cool and both make sense, but I don't think it would add much to the story, at least from what we currently know of it. (Transfem Berdly on the other hand...)
FRIEND is a cute kitty and I believe that one theory that they lured Kris and Dess (and potentially Catti) into doing something in the shelter.
There was another theory I saw about how Kris is blocking off part of Hometown from your vision. I only believe this because the gap in Hometown has always bothered me xD IDK how Kris would be blocking it from us but Kris you're bothering me, please stop.

Ralsei and flowers
I remembered suddenly about the Ralsei in flowers t shirt sold on Fangamer. The description was something like, "Isn't he always getting mixed up with flowers? Wait, no he isn't." That always seemed fishy to me! But not too fishy, otherwise it wouldn't be merch... Anyways, here comes Ralsei into flowers. Hopefully the flowers aren't him reborn fucked up and evil.

From Napstablook's dialogue, it seems Undyne doesn't have access to the shelter code if it isn't in the police station... so it's either at her house or Asgore has it from being a former police officer.

The ending
Maybe a bit too far away from now, but I've had this idea where, to stop the prophecy from continuing, the player is asked to stop playing the game-- like how Flowey asks you to leave everyone alone after completing UT's pacifist route. This was just a crack idea until I realized that Susie said she would prefer to not have an ending in the Gerson fight. And, oh boy, what a dilemma it would be.... Do we respect the characters enough to leave them in stasis? Or are we curious enough to see everything through to the end?

mmmmm im schleepy something something gerson dialogue again. gerson wasnt tricked by friend. lord of the hammer chapters were maybe alluding to secret bosses. Maybe Flower King only burns down if you get all the shadow crystals. Or weird route. Or both or neither.

i thought about these scenes in regards to mandy showing discomfort when receiving or expressing love. to me, it’s not just a physiological response (touch aversion due to autism), but also a psychological one. she doesn’t want any affection from others because she grew up in a household where she was never given proper love and is used to her emotional needs and feelings being invalidated. as a result, mandy likely developed a physiological defense mechanism where she not only strove to be independent and not rely on anyone (she only does when she’s desperate or in a situation she can’t get out of), but also relies being controlling to feel powerful and mask her low self-esteem. it’s a coping mechanism
she’s not used to affection which is why she often responds in an aggressive manner which is shown in episodes like dumb luck and el dia de los estupidos. in dad day afternoon, she felt disgusted and walked away after she tells her dad that she loves him and gave him a present. this scene also shows her being comfortable with surface level interactions as long as there's no affection involved/emotional engagement
i also think that mandy's angry reaction in dia de los estupidos might've been because she felt ignored. harold thought that mandy was just calling the place mexico when in actuality, they are in mexico

I dunno if I'm gonna complete this drawing, jaja, even though I find it very cute.
