IVORY FANGED

                ☾   “You have ta’ play with me,

                                      you’re my brother”  ☾

The mongooses eyes snapped open, his long furry body jolting to attention at the sudden piercing howl. He scrabbled through the underbrush, half-hoping that the source of the sound would bring him to something interesting, for all mongooses are filled with boundless curiosity, and nothing pleases them more than to find something new,

His tail bristled slightly as he came upon the wolf cub, excitement causing the little animal to bound forward and leap towards the pup. He kept his distance, but he twitched with barely restrained energy, and could not help but speak to the odd young animal.
