psa; i’m sure many of you are already well aware, but i am NOT ACTIVE. right now, this blog is not a priority && it never will be. i spend a lot of my time writing ( academic essays, one-shots, big bang projects, etc. ) && continuously writing takes a toll.

will i respond to messages when i get them? yes, absolutely. i would love to plot && hear ideas if you have them. but please don’t expect me to act for awhile. i don’t forget. writing is a hobby && i get tired of it a lot because of how much i do, contrary to popular belief, i know.

i genuinely admire you because you Get Shit Done. ur like 'if someone killed my father i'd leap to revenge immediately and send a giant peasant army roaring down the castle gates. rip to hamlet but im different' and i think that's neat. you're unique, fiery, determined, but perhaps not the most honest of people.

❝ hm? ❞ he turned his attention to ichigo. he was standing by the entrance to the kitchen while ogihci occupied the couch. every time he looked at him, he ended up scrutinizing his body. all the sharp edges created by flesh barely clinging on to his limbs made him want to retch. 

the jar of translucent green liquid in his hands made him want to retch more. his upper lip curled back when his head flinched back on its own. as a hollow, he didn’t mind the grotesque or consumption of most things, but he could recall the stench of the pickle juice. its foulness assaulted him the first time he found ichigo opening it up. the overwhelming sensation of that liquid was too much. it looked sickening as well.

when the wolves scampered off, ogihci let out a piercing hiss until the tail of the last wolf disappeared into the shadows of the forest. he opened his jaws and let his vibrant blue tongue free. it tasted the air ( his territory couldn’t have more intruders ). the lizard beast snapped his tongue back in && his jaw closed. snow crunched underneath his weight as he turned around toward the pungent scent of blood. low rumbles from his throat ripped out.

ogihci raised his tail && lower body. his spiked tail lashed around faster the more his back arched. his upper body lowered down to the ground as he prowled to the threat. however, he stopped when the voice spoke up. 

he knew that voice ( or he thought he did ). 

critical eyes traveled from the human’s legs up to its face. staring into hazel eyes && orange hair, he crouched down even further. a louder growl let itself known when he saw those colors. all his spines && scales seemed to rattle. ogihci didn’t understand it. he could only remember one person who had it, but there was no reason he would be out here. 

he knew one thing though: he couldn’t hurt him. his back legs && tail lowered once the aggression began to subside. ogihci’s narrowed eyes never left the human’s body though. he walked forward, his body leaving a trail in the snow. turning so his side faced the injured man, he turned his head at him. he jerked his head in the direction he walked ( the one toward the castle ). lizard vocal chords couldn’t hope to make human sounds, so he just kept bobbing his head. 

ogihci lay down on one of the glass panes with his eyes glued to the perpetual blue sky flanked by two towering skyscrapers. the wispy clouds slowly drifted downward until they disappeared behind the lip of the building. the hollow just remained there, his eyes tracked an individual one before flicking back up to land on another. other times, he picked out more ambiguously shaped ones, attempting to identify it as something he knew ( which was not a lot ). some of the edges of the one he used as a resting place dug into his shoulder blades && back, but there were callouses starting to form. they didn’t bother him. 

ever since he got suppressed this is what he was forced to do, day in && day out ( not that it ever became night ) without the sounds of wind nor company. ogihci found cloud-watching more exciting than hitting his zanpakuto against a building repeatedly. 

the monotonous routine became so ingrained in him that hearing ichigo’s voice cut in made him jump. with a groan, he propped himself back up. he frowned, rolling his eyes at the request to help him out. his fingers twitched, wanting to rip out his sword just at the shinigami’s voice. 

fill out & repost ♥ This meme definitely favors canons more, but I hope OC’s still can make it somehow work with their own lore, and lil’ fandom of friends & mutuals. Multi-Muses pick the muse you are the most invested in atm.

How strictly do you follow canon?  — I try to follow canon almost to the point, particularly for characterization purposes. unfortunately, trying to take canon development away from shirosaki / hollow ichigo is detrimental to him. without his connection to being the inner hollow of ichigo, most of his personality is taken along with it, leaving him with almost nothing in terms of character ( i won’t go into detail here ). 

i fully stand by my statement that without all the canon events, he is not shirosaki & would become a different person/muse entirely.

SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals.  — honestly ??? he’s literally the only instance of a highly intelligent & humanoid hollow that is NOT an arrancar. most of them are "forced” evolutions & they took in shinigami powers with its power, which put them down an evolution line different from the hollow one. they have most likely gained traits that shiro DOES NOT HAVE. he is not an evolution. his soul is entirely hollow, a derivative of white & nothing else. he is a base hollow that was made and became a zanpakuto spirit through unforeseen methods. he’s new. he’s unknown. he is entirely different from an arrancar & almost can’t be compared to one. 

 every single part of his being is a contradiction. he’s a hollow & and a zanpakuto. he’s destructive & protective of ichigo’s soul, even if they are for selfish reasons. there is a not a shadow of a doubt that he’s the only person of his kind, so any character in the entire series ( aside from ichigo ) will be faced with something new. will be faced with an unknown. his entiRE EXISTENCE IS INTERESTING and terrifying at the same time. 

not to mention, have you seen how he fights ??? 

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).  — for one, he’s untrustworthy, he’s suspicious, he’s a maniac that will attack at first attack. i would say it is pretty common to avoid him. & he would avoid everyone too cause that’s how he is. not to mention the fact he is trapped inside ichigo & has little to no screentime. 

tbh i don’t blame people who skip from entirely & just make him off as some sort of plot armor. without digging into it, it’s pretty hard to catch a substantive personality. in the long run, he didn’t do much for canon. 

What inspired you to rp your muse?  —  LOOOL see. he was my favorite character and that’s really it. he was just a cool character at the time, but he’s been really fun since he feels so different from writing other characters. 

What keeps your inspiration going?  —   kari. i don’t even need to say more.  writing with other people has been a blast & i truly love everyone here, but without her i probably wouldn’t still be on tumblr right now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Give your mutuals some insight about the way you are in some matters, which could lead them to get more comfortable with you or perhaps not.

Do you think you give your character justice?  YES / NO. ( all of shirosaki’s portrayals across the fandom varies immensely & i don’t think one is more inherently wrong or right, but i think my version is done very well in terms of keeping within what appears in canon. ) Do you frequently write headcanons?  YES / NO.  Do you sometimes write drabbles?  YES very sometimes / NO.  Do you think a lot about your Muse during the day?  YES / NO. ( see: my discord pms with kari ) Are you confident in your portrayal?   YES / NO. Are you confident in your writing?  YES / NO. Are you a sensitive person?  YES / NO.

Do you accept criticism well about your portrayal?  — i gladly take criticisms !! i have never read the manga of bleach & i actually don’t remember much of the series in general, so i am confident there are things i miss that are either directly or indirectly related to shiro. & i am also sure there are better ways to approach & ‘justify’ some of his more odd actions in the series, so please go ahead and critique me all you like !! however, i will note that if i can find evidence to argue against a criticism, i will most likely not take it. 

Do you like questions, which help you explore your character?  — absolutely <3 questions are very important because they make you think about things that you may not have thought about before. exploring things about shiro is one of my favorite things to do because of just how he is. 

If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why?  — yes, i would want to know why. when it comes to arguments or disagreements, i am very adamant about how they should go. arguments must include insights on both sides in a mature manner, so you can learn from both perspectives. who knows, you might see something you like & decide to combine it into something entirely new. 

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?  — just fine. with shirosaki especially, i don’t think one person has the same idea about him as another LOL in fact, i’m pretty confident many views between me & friends go against each other. there are so many ways to interpret him due to a lack of canon material, it’s just bound to happen.

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?  — i’d think you’re a little crazy tbh. that or you missed everything that made him interesting. i may get not seeing much in him & ignoring him but omg i don’t really get how you could hate him ??? tybw solidified that idea even more, but eh. if you hate him, you hate him. don’t bring that hate over to me :P

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?  —  yes. i am a grammar disaster. literally the worst. fuck grammar, man. 

Do you think you are easy going as a mun?   —  uh. depends on who you speak to ??? i’m pretty intimidating at the first few glances, i’ve been told L O L. but i am actually very very very easy going & am okay with a lot of things. also i crave social interaction like all the time so. 

“Oi! First of all, I’m not a shinigami,” she corrects immediately, his harsh response pulling her own competitive and antagonistic personality forward, “Second of all, I’d like to see you fuckin’ try.”

Her grin is sharp but shy of hostile. He sounds like he knows Ichigo, which is weird, because Ichigo’s never mentioned a hollow with his face as far as she’s aware.

“How do you know Ichigo? You have an explanation? Why would soul society give a warning about anything?” She rapid fire’s her questions as she steps out of her aggressive stance, Amatsu-Mikaboshi hangs loosely in her hand, weight swinging from leg to leg.

She takes the time she’s talking to look him over. He is cautious, not nervous though. He thinks he can take her in a fight, which may be true. She can’t get a proper reading on his reiatsu other then it feels kinda like Ichigo’s. More controlled though. 

“Let’s cut the crap, yeah? Who are you and what do you want?” She points her blade at him, “for your sake, I hope I like the answer.”

❝ you’re not a shinigami, ❞ ogihci repeated, his voice remaining monotone. with his eyes glued to the other being, he hummed. he decided not to say anything more on the topic. it wasn’t of interest right now. the hostility the hollow was met with began to prick at his head ( tired of criticisms of nosy people ), but he took a deep breath. for now, he restrained himself, seeing there was no need for an attack. 

either way, it was quite clear ogihci would be risking a bit if he turned away && walked away now. he didn’t want to get into a fight. soul society affiliated or not, he didn’t want attention drawn onto him. ❝ you really can’t figure it out on your own? ❞ he was careful. if she didn’t have the information needed to piece it together in the first place, then ogihci concluded that she didn’t need to know ( or maybe it was kept hidden purposefully ). rolling his eyes, he decided he wanted to leave. as soon as possible. ask ichigo about her himself.

ogihci is not super impulsive. he does not cause trouble when he wants to & he most certainly stays within certain limits. he has never been one to purposefully rile someone up, especially not shinigami, quincy, & arrancars. despite his wild nature inside of ichigo’s inner world, that’s within the inner world. that’s in a place where it’s only him, ichigo, & the old man. no one there is out to get him. 

outside of that, he’s being scrutinized harshly. the soul society watched him because he was the one who almost ended up killing byakuya & they’re just not very receptive of hollows. quincies are much worse since they straight up eliminate them entirely. he’s not an idiot. he very much thinks before doing anything remotely suspicious or violent. his control isn’t so good as to not retaliate when he’s attacked first, but he certainly will not strike first.

i do not believe this opinion is totally unpopular, but it’s definitely not something i see a lot in people’s portrayals & discussions. from shiro’s first entrance up until he got suppressed ( & even past that sometimes ), he had absolutely no liking toward ichigo. he had a little bit of respect that he has his power to begin with, but other than that, he never once looked out for him nor helped him intentionally, excluding the time he manifested his mask to stop renji from killing him. but that was a matter of personal gain.

accidentally, he has helped ichigo a great deal. pushing him to his limits made him see things a bit more clearly and at the end of it all, he was the only person who didn’t lie and provided more insight into his powers.
