welcome to the alternate world where you brain managed to produce enough serotonin. where every time you wake up,  you don’t stare at the ceiling wondering why you can’t just close your curtains and pretend it’s just night time again. welcome to the alternate world where you are more than a half-assed citation on the bottom of the last page of someone’s thesis paper, another statistic to be recognized and discussed by lecture halls with too much of the same material. welcome to the alternate world that lets you find a reason for living other than guilt, that you find superheroes in the mirror, that you find love wherever it was hidden and hunt down whoever happened to put it in the last place you looked and that these are not your demons. welcome to the alternate life where he had stayed, and he cried and he let you in more times than you let him in; where you didn’t doubt when she touched your face, you didn’t question your body and why and why sometimes, when you take a shower you feel disgusted with your hips. welcome to the alternate life where the grass is greener  on your side, where lost pets are found and lost people are never really lost, but just searching and where the secrets you tell your friends don’t end in  pity. welcome to all the places you never visited and that you dreamed of and promised “I’ll get there some day"  places that aren’t a percentage on a pie graph, a whisper between people and where you drink just to forget. welcome to the the alternate world where you love yourself enough  that it eventually saves you.

We’re all alive. We don’t know why; But in the end, we’d rather die high! So in this life, if there’s no hope; Just sit back and smoke some dope.
