Glimpse Of My World

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” -Psalm 46:10

Sometimes I post at night on purpose because that’s when those thoughts start to resurface. Those things we try to suppress during the day sometimes seem to pop up out of nowhere, and you find yourself feeling, thinking, and worrying about all kinds of things. Tonight, I just want to encourage that whatever it is that’s on your mind, tonight you have the opportunity to go before the throne of God and just be still in His presence. Read your Bible. Turn on some Christ-centered music. Worship. Be STILL and reminder tonight that:

1. You don’t have to chase after anyone but Him tonight. 2. You don’t have to wait up for that text or that phone call. 3. You don’t have to lose sleep over that breakup. 4. You don’t have to keep worrying if so-and-so likes you. 5. You don’t have to spend hours reading social media posts, wishing you had something you don’t have. 6. You don’t have to dwell on the things that others did to you. 7. You don’t have to think less of yourself because that one guy is more interested in someone else instead of you 8. You don’t have to fix your hair, your makeup, and take pictures all in hopes that someone will like your photos or compliment you 9. You don’t have to spend all of your quality time with friends dissecting every text, every phone call, and every interaction with that certain guy 10. You don’t have to keep reaching out to him, hoping eventually he will care about you like you care about him

Let God curate your love story. Let God curate your LIFE story and be. Still. Your God is with you and He is carefully orchestrating everything in your life. You only have to be still. Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and just focus on Him and being in His presence. You don’t have to have a boyfriend or a husband or your dream job or your dream future in order to experience His presence. Bask in His presence tonight by being still and listening to what He has to say. #BeStill
