Hermione and Belle are like perfect head and heart girls. They have both. They’re super smart but they also have this incredible empathy and compassion, and ability to see beyond things, and be non-judgmental.

Working hard is important. But there is something that matters even more, believing in yourself.

what keeps you confident in a healthy way is knowing that everyone else around you is going to support you and teach you and you’re going to learn from them. I just feel open to learning from people.

Do I get treated equally at work? Not always. Does every woman? No. Do I get asked questions at press junkets by men and women alike, specifically because they will get headline grabbing responses coming from a young woman? Yes. I believe we all have the opportunity to stand up as women in our ordinary everyday lives. I believe that we all have the power to replace hate with justice, open-heartedness and kindness. I believe that one woman’s success, is every woman’s gain. I believe that it is every woman’s choice to be able to live her life how she sees fit… that all of us are girl-bosses and the power of the girl-boss is that we care a bit more about those around us.

Clay. Helmet. Your name does not belong on this list. But you need to be here if I’m going to tell my story. If I’m going to explain why I did what I did. Because you aren’t every other guy. I used to run and hide from my feelings especially when I felt something that was upsetting, painful, or uncomfortable. But over time I’ve learned to accept all of my feelings. I know that in order for me to working through them, I must first honor and embrace all emotions. They are a part of me. Therefore they are meaningful and valid.
