on our first rain 

his eyes whispered into mine 

about all the things his lips 

wanted to do to my tongue

i have moments 

when i see a pair of torn shoes 

telling me stories hidden underneath 

their scarred smiles they put on 

so bravely 

i know a boy 

who quietly sits on a bench 

not so far from where i live 

scribbling his wishes 

on a tainted notebook 

as his bright bohemian eyes 

searches for someone 

to come in his life 

just so he could 

give his secret treasures 

to someone who needs them 

what you have is an 

unbreakable strength 

the biggest endurance 

a stubborn persistance  

with the strongest will

i’ve come to know 

and even that 

has it ever occurred to you 

that you are probably worth 

more than you think you are 

the miracle that’s inside 

roaring to be unleashed into

a beast that you know you are

i asked him once 

when did he knew that i was the one 

he said he was the kinda guy 

who would drink milk out of the carton 

but now he knows the meaning of glass on a coaster 

when they stopped my breathing 

i ripped those hands off my skin 

so hard that the sky shook in anger 

deafening them with thunder 

your lips 

is a mirage 

like water in a desert 

i try to reach before waking up 

in my own silhouette 

in the end 

we were just kids 

thinking love 

was or magic tunnel 

leading to endless possibilities 

one knows the true meaning 

of love and being loved 

when they have been in self-hate 

i am stuck between 

what happened in my past

and what might happen  

our memories last longer
