"I don't believe I'm hot-tempered," he noted, although those words were probably not too believable in the context of what they were discussing. His strength of will was something he'd have to prove over time.

Tyler was breathing hard and fast as he stood there. His hands and body busied. With Sage away and who have been for weeks doing who knows what, but most liking causing destruction in their wake. The scientist always choose this moment to test Tyler, he had been created from Sage and a powerful mutant who carried him before passing when she gave birth to him. The male's powers active before birth and even after birth. He was Sage most prize and successful experiment. Sage had never been able to create and make a weapon like this before. Tyler was a special.

So they used his power nullification whenever they needed someone to fall in line. That made him useful while also ensuring that he knew everybody around. Chris had grown quite fond of a few of the other experiments, and that's why he regularly checked up on them.

"Nobody's misbehaving today, so there's no need for me and my almighty power of cockblock," he greeted, dark humor in his voice as he took a few steps closer to truly examine Tyler. There was concern in his eyes, the genuine kind.

"We'll need to start you on a round of antibiotics and conduct a number of tests just to be safe." Though quietly, he was also monitoring him his own way. He wasn't about to turn, so that was a relief, but vampirism aside, the Ekon still had a job to do and he knew that bite mark all too well.

Perhaps that's why he found the doctor's questions rather amusing, not to say frustrating, because he thought they would skip the whole pleasantries meant to protect the masquerade.

"Doc, let's just get this out of the way," he mused, trying to remain calm and collected through the pain of his wound and the usual restlessness of his own nature.

"I came here specifically because I was told you knew what to do with vampire bites," Chris said bluntly, making eye contact with his caretaker with solid conviction. Granted, he didn't know Alex himself was a vampire, but he wouldn't beat around the bush when his own life was on the line.

"I'd love for you to surprise me. That's one of my favorite things about you." He winked playfully at the other. "Though you should know how hard I am to impress. You'll have to do something pretty damn amazing." He grabbed the glass that handed to him, sipping gently at the drink.

Although, he figured, it wouldn't be too good to ruin their pleasant reunion with an interrogation.

"If your idea of fun involves going to the bank in broad daylight, be my guest," Chris added, frowning his lips in knowledge that it wasn't exactly the most exciting of invitations. Still, if his vampire friend wanted to keep him company during his boring mundane responsibilities...

the water was just hitting perfect levels of heat and height, with an aesthetically please array of bubbles, but the time chris walks in with the two steaming cups --- and the aroma was particularly delightful. the witch hums pleasantly as he turns around his all his glory.

❝  where'd my clothes go ? do you not want me to join you, love ? ❞ he teases with the sad kitten twinkle in his eyes and a playful pout on his plump lips; only because he knows chris wouldn't be able to deny him --- not that it was ever going to be the case. he makes slow strides up to him, gently grabbing the mugs and setting them gently down on the nearby countertop.

❝ --- i thought you'd enjoy it more if i was in there with you, darling~ ❞ the witch purrs sweetly, with his cool breath ghosting over chris' lips, as manicured hands reaches for the hem of his shirt and gradually lifts up to help him out of it.

But, since the witch had invaded his personal space so blatantly, of course Chris closed the distance to steal a gentle kiss from his lips.

"That's an interesting color for a bath bomb," he thought aloud, reaching for his own belt and unbuckling it in a swift motion. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you wanted me to bathe in the blood of my enemies..."

"Thank you, Daiki. You're a sight for sore eyes," he mused in a more relaxed tone, moving around the car and getting in the back seat quickly.

He followed instructions simply, reaching under he driver's seat to pull a fresh, simple gray hoodie. Shamelessly so, Chris took his bloody shirt off and replaced it with the clean top.

With Chris' help, he pulled himself up, a pained groan leaving him as he straightened, a hand clutching at his side. "Thanks, I'll try not to bleed over your upholstery." It might have sounded like a joke thanks to his light tone, but John meant it. The last thing he wanted was to stain the guy's car seats with blood.

"Don't get me wrong. I'm glad that they're stupid and sloppy," he mused, taking the first steps towards the nearest back alley. "I'm just personally irked by mediocrity."

He didn't root for the hunters. If anything, Chris himself thought that threats to peaceful supernaturals had to be eliminated instead. But he knew better than to embark in such crusade, for he was hardly the target of such hate groups.

"No need to sound condescending, doctor. I'm not rushing you whatsoever," Chris mused simply, showing an incredibly high pain tolerance about the wound on his neck.

He was clearly bitten by a vampire... But the fact that he was standing there was a clear testament of who won that fight.

❝ the real excitement will come when it's at night and they're basking in the moon's glow. i just hope the night sky remains clear for the rest of the week. ❞ he muses over aloud in thought as he continues in the flow state that is chris' massage when his ears perk at the suggestion. oh yes, a bath does sound lovely right about now, doesn't it ?

❝ i'm not gonna argue against that, darling ~ ❞ he's got a few bombs he's been wanting to try out. one in particular that's supposed to turn the water into a deep red with shimmering gold. said to be extra nourishing on dry skin. he doesn't waste any time in getting up, only leaving a peck on his savior's cheek in the process --- more is sure to come in the tub. ❝ consider it already drawn, sir~ ❞ he leaves him with a slight flourish in his step, already shedding off his clothing on the way to the bathroom~

Much like his unlikely roommate, Chris stood up. His steps took him in the opposite direction, though: towards the kitchen.

Preparing coffee didn't take him too long. He imagined the bath would be half full by the time he was done, so he didn't rush at all. Two big cups were poured, and only then Chris made his way to the bathroom with their hot drinks.

Thankfully.

"I got a medical kit back at my place. Can dress it up proper once we get back." Once he regained some of his strength, unless Chris wanted to take care of it. Right now, all he could really think about was getting somewhere safe, or somewhere he felt safe, at least.

Though he did wince at the pressure on his wound, managing a pained laugh at it. "Goddamn that hurts." He groaned through a chuckle, finally beginning to push himself up into a seated position.

"Those hunters are sloppy as fuck. Didn't even stay to make sure you were dead," he thought out loud, tucking hihs knife back into his boot and reaching for John's arm in order to help him up.

"My car's not too far away. I can drive you home," Chris said, making sure to keep the other as steady as could be. Extra movement might make the pain worse, so he did his best to be firm but gentle in his approach. Or he tried, at least.

He stood, stretching, and nodded. "Yeah, okay. I haven't any meeting this afternoon. Where'd you wanna go?"

Chris walked closer to the desk, the usual confidence in his steps. He had gotten to be quite familiar with that office, especially with how often he used his free time to pay his lover a visit. In fact, he went the extra mile to pull Cormac by the shirt into a kiss, just to say hello.

"You're looking extra handsome in that suit today," he murmured against his lips, lingering for a few extra seconds before he gave Cormac his personal space back.
