Jaime leaving behind his toxic family to try and become a person worthy of redemption: pointless

Dany overcoming her abusers, oppressors & the misogynistic society she lives in, and, at every turn, using her power to help others do the same: pointless

Perhaps she was at work, looking at some proofs of a certain shoot that is coming out next month….and was inspired to post these tweets……😏😏😏

SPOILER WARNING! Some of these reflections are based on possible spoilers I have read and are also a good shot at speculation. 

I think there are many elements that make this theory interesting, not only for the storyline but for the future of the Sequel Trilogy, and why it should end with episode IX, so here it goes : After searching the internet for two years, reading and analyzing very different types of theories, speculations and reddit stuff, I am coming to the conclusion that Rey comes from the Palpatine line. She would then be his grand-daughter and her parents are going to come from the dark side, I place my bet on stormtroopers. 

1) On a storyboard level, you have to look macro at the whole three trilogies. They is going to be a mirror effect.

The PT was about a light Skywalker falling to the Dark Side because of love, and because of the manipulations of a Palpatine.

The ST is about a dark Skywalker being redeemed to the Light thanks to the love of a Palpatine. (by love, i mean not necessarily romantic)

Together in the PT : they introduce mayhem to the galaxy

Together in the ST : they restore peace in the galaxy (final episode)

Why do I think this? It was Lucas’s first idea that the ST should be a mirror of the PT, so maybe the kept the general idea. It also ties the three trilogies together in an interesting fashion. 

2) We then have mirroring effects and parallels of ST with the PT/ Kylo and Rey. Let’s pay attention to symbolism. 

Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, the Skywalker of the trilogy. Comes from the Light, falls to the Dark Side. He is first introduced with a very Darth Vaderesque look. He starts where Vader finishes : brutal, murderous, and he wears a mask that also distorts his voice. This is the reverse of Anakin which we see first as an innocent child, who is a slave, but is Light. 

Rey, the Palpatine of the trilogy, comes from Darkness but starts as a reverse of Sheev : an innocent and beautiful person. She is the Light. She wears a whitish costume when she is first introduced. 

Anakin Skywalker and Sheev Palpatine are both the strongest force wielders in the PT. Kylo Ren and Rey are the strongest RAW powah™ in the ST. (Even Luke is scared shitless.)

They are set as equals, incarnations of two opposite principles (ying/yang)

3)  They will meet in the middle. 

In order to restore peace, they necessarily need to meet in the middle, as they are set as opponents in the beginning. This is why I think they share so much : loneliness, a feeling of longing, a feeling a abandonment, a sense that they are looking for their own destiny. Both need each other in order to find themselves but the other will also trigger their own opposite side: 

Rey could go further down the dark side giving in to anger, her sense of abandonment but also passion. Passion can be a very destructive feeling. We already see her with anger in TFA when she beats Kylo. That will be full fledged in TLJ. Hate/Passion go together…

Kylo can go towards his light side giving in to his compassion for her. Kylo is said to be the incarnation of both principles, and his light side bubbles up all the time. He has a soft spot for Rey, and offers to teach her. 

This leads me to better understand how and why they have to become grayish. 

4) Rey in spanish means KING (come on, is that totally casual?) It’s more understandable if we see she is the heir to the throne of the Empire. (Princess rey *cough* prince Kylo *cough*)

If indeed Rey turns out to be a Palpatine, I am pretty sure that the trilogy will end on their union, whatever that is (romantic, or not), and restore peace in the galaxy, going beyond Light and Darkness. This is why Reylo is so important in the end. It doesn’t matter if it’s romantic or not. It’s their union and their symbolic importance for the galaxy that matters. 

Episode 7 : Ennemies

Episode 8 : They meet in the middle. Darkness rises and light to meet it.

Episode 9 : Friends (lovers, friends, whatever, but unified for the greater good!) Consolidation of Grey. 

(If they do take the trilogy on a romantic level it’s going to be a heck of a soap opera!!)

And Finally 

5) Sheev Palpatine thought Jakku was a special place. He even built a laboratory there in the Aftermath series. And, of course, who shows up specifically on THIS planet?
