"Ah oi, vocês chegaram? Se preparem vocês estão prestes a presenciar o pior método de tortura depois do "tummy time": Cherry está acabando com a minha identidade!"
~odeia pentear o cabelo.
Cherry: Você não acha que está grandinho demais para reclamar de pentear o cabelo?
Forest: Eu não gosto. Meu rosto inteiro fica a mostra. As pessoas só conseguem reparar nos meus olhos e dizer que sou estranho.
Cherry: Seus olhos são lindos e me dê o nome dessas pessoas.
Forest: Você não precisa enfrentar meus inimigos, Cherry, são minhas batalhas.
Cherry: Forest, você tem 11 anos, que inimigos você tem?
Forest: Você não imagina os horrores da pré adolescência, Cherry.
Cherry: Sei.
Eu vou me trocar, por favor, fique arrumadinho, tá bom?
Forest: Tá bom?
Cherry: Eu te amo.
Forest: Mais do que ontem.
Cherry: Menos do que amanhã.

As many of you know, I started this challenge a while ago, but I lost the save file, the sims... well, everything. I tried to recreate it, but I just couldn't connect with the new sims because I was still too attached to the original story.
Recently, I decided to start completely from scratch. New sims, new save, new story, and honestly, I'm so much more excited than I was the first time around. I think I'm finally ready to officially bring it here. I hope you'll be able to see the same potential in it that I do. ❤️
Sims In Bloom: Generation 3 Pt. 45 (Trippin' in Tomarang)
Fresh from high school graduation, Lavender landed in Tomarang on a hot and sunny day. Instantly hit by the heat, she put it out of her mind to focus on the most important thing - she and Violet were together again, and they wouldn't need to part again for over a month!
Thrilled to see her girlfriend again, Lavender had come with a handmade gift - a woven rug in Violet's two favourite colours, purple and blue.
The rug added colour to the outdated kitchen in Violet's small ground-floor apartment, but she instantly noticed the decor on the walls. "It looks really good in here. Your landlord keeps the place really nice for all her students."
"Oh, I added most of this," Violet said. "It's just white walls, otherwise, and I really wanted to make the space feel lived in."
Lavender smiled. "Vanesha probably loves that you're helping decorate the place for the next tenant," she said.
"Oh, yeah, I mean, this place needed a bit of character," said Violet. "Most people just come and go with the program."
"Well, it's nice of you to leave your mark before you head back home."
Lavender thought she noticed Violet's smile falter slightly, but she didn't have time to dwell before there was a knock at the door.
Violet let them in, and landlord Vanesha Cahyaputri smiled at the young women. "I wanted to check that the fans were working. It's almost summer and only going to get hotter down here."
"Go ahead and look around," Violet said easily. "This is who I've been telling you about for months! Vanesha, this is Lavender, my girlfriend, and Lav, meet Vanesha."
"It's nice to see you're not just some AI in Violet's phone," Vanesha cracked. Violet laughed and Lavender smiled politely; she considered launching into her feelings on artificial intelligence, but she didn't want to make anything too awkward for Violet.
Vanesha, on the other hand, didn't mind it, and she made herself at home in the living room to chat with the girls a while. But Lavender wanted to spend time alone with her girlfriend - she'd flown a long way!
As night fell, jet lag was chasing Lavender down - but Violet seemed happy to have Vanesha there, and she was the property owner, after all.
Violet and Vanesha had an easy rapport - so easy that Lavender tried not to feel too jealous. She and Violet had a great rapport, too, but Lavender couldn't help Violet with her Tomarani phrases the way Vanesha could.
At least they didn't speak in a language Lavender couldn't understand for too long. And after a while - probably a lot less time than it felt to Lavender - Vanesha left and headed upstairs.
Finally alone for the first time since Selvadorada, the girls made up for lost time in the bedroom. Lavender had looked forward to this trip for a long time, and she didn't want to waste a minute with the girl she loved.
Vanesha could pop by whenever she liked, but Lavender was the one who got to kiss her, hold her, and feel butterflies as they cuddled until they fell asleep.
Violet spent her days with her academic program, leaving Lavender to explore on her own. She didn't mind it and always liked spending time alone, but she was just as happy to stay in and work on her LavaKnits orders until Violet came home in the late afternoons.
By then, the heat had usually cooled considerably - if not the humidity - and the girls could explore the Night Market in search of dinner, drinks, or fresh fish to fry up for breakfast.
They'd often peruse the stalls and Violet would pick up little knick knacks to display in her apartment, like colourful tassels and baskets, and each time Lavender wondered whether Violet really saw Tomarang as a temporary home. But she didn't want to vocalize it. Not unless Violet did, first.
Instead, Lavender let Violet share everything she was learning about Tomarani history and culture in her academic program, and Violet let Lavender talk about her new place in Evergreen Harbour.
"The workshop space is the best part, because I'll be able to meet so many more orders than before."
"That's great!" said Violet. "There's no space for you to have a workshop in my little apartment..."
"No, but you could probably find a lot of work as an event planner in Evergreen Harbour."
Violet grinned. "I couldn't plan a recycling drive better than you could."
The girls were happy together in Tomarang, and they spent every free moment together that they could. Vanesha was always around, puttering in the garden before the girls headed out to the national park or the beach.
And every day, it seemed, Violet and Lavender stopped to talk to her. But one rainy night, the girls' in-ground plumbing was on the fritz. They headed upstairs in search of the landlord, but they only found her 14-year-old sister, Zhafira.
"She's working late doing inventory at the coffee hut tonight," explained Zhafira. "But I'm sure she'd rather be here dealing with the toilets."
"She's a great landlord," said Violet. "I'm sure she'll be over as soon as she's done inventory. It's a shame she works a job she hates so much."
Zhafira nodded slowly. "She wouldn't like it if I told you, but after our parents died, she gave up her dream of becoming a DJ to take care of me. I don't think she knows I know, but the barista job is just to make sure we're covered when we're between students in the unit downstairs."
"She sounds like a great big sister," Lavender noted politely, but Violet's reaction was more familiar. She knew Vanesha better than Lavender thought, and she tried to smile through pangs of jealousy.
"In a few years, you'll be old enough to live on your own," Violet told her gently. "And then we'll force her to follow her dreams if we have to!"
The girls made their pact before Lavender and Violet decided to beat the indoor heat with a visit to the ancient temple just blocks from the rental unit.
The golden temple spires lit up at night were a sight to behold, and the girls removed their shoes to pay their respect to the gods as they wandered inside a rabbit hole of ornate tombs and painted altars.
With some writing on the wall as the girls explored another corner of Violet's new home, they let the monument distract them from taking any time to read it. ->

NOTE: I don't have much of an eye for aesthetics, but, apparently, Lavender does. She stopped right here and autonomously whipped out her violin (she was completely alone at the time), and when I noticed she matched the flowers in the background I just assumed she stopped there on purpose. 😂

🎨: After-school consisted of homework help while Jack reluctantly fixed a meal. He hates to cook, so Liz and I could hear him complaining from the stove as he made dinner. I helped Liz with her science homework, the one subject in which she seemed to be struggling a little. She was so proud when we were done and asked if we would buy her a science kit to do experiments at home. Black Jack told her we would think about it; he was mostly concerned that she might accidentally set off an explosion inside the house.
Once she thought she had the yes she wanted, she started to talk about art and the photos she'd taken, then about her imaginary friend Reese, who she says was really responsible for the incident in science class. That made me a little concerned, but before I could ask her about it, she asked how Jack and I met.

🎨: Ms.Pelling was waiting for us in the main office. Lane was already there waiting, along with Tiana Daniels, having been pulled from recess for this meeting. Jack and I were the first to arrive. Tiana’s father, Austin Daniels, arrived 5 minutes later.
Ms.Pelling ushered us into her office once Ms.Munoz, the music teacher, joined us. She left the girls to wait outside. Ms.Pelling introduced us and then jumped right in. It seemed to be going well until Ms.Pelling asked Mr. Daniels what he intended to do about Tiana’s behavior. Mr. Daniels hung his head and responded.
Mr.Daniels: What am I supposed to do? She’s acting out because of the divorce. She shouldn’t even be at this school. This is all her mother’s fault.
Kennedy: That’s not good enough. Tiana has been targeting Lane from the moment she joined the school orchestra. From taking her lunch money to broken strings on her violin, the spitballs during class, and cheating off her test. We do not send our daughter here to be anyone’s punching bag. We sent her because we trusted Rory Boltens’ word that this was the best hard-of-hearing school in Willow Creek, but I’m starting to have my doubts. Lane is here to get her education as well as to arm herself with as many tools as possible so she can lead a life unburdened by her disability. Why don't you just remove Tiana from the program?
Ms.Pelling: Ms. Owis, I understand your concerns and frustrations when it comes to Lane. She is intelligent, kind, and incredibly gifted, and mostly keeps to herself. I will do everything in my power to ensure her safety in our facility, but I ask that you allow us and the children to work through this.
Jack: It’s okay, Neddy.
After a very long discussion, Mr. Daniels agreed to have Tiana meet with the school counselor twice a week. She would also have a teacher’s aide during music. We all agreed that if there was another incident, Tiana would have to be removed from the program. I wanted her removed now, but I agreed to the conditions in good faith. After the meeting, I thanked Ms.Pelling while Jack took Austin aside. They shared a brief conversation before shaking hands with a smile, as if they were old friends. Hmm, I wondered what that was about?
🎨: Liz came to me one morning before school and said something was wrong with Reese. Reese is Lizbeth’s ImagineMe! Doll. Who she pretends is alive. Apparently, Reese hadn’t spoken to her since the science incident at school. Her physical doll was here, but Liz was adamant that the doll couldn’t be Reese. On closer inspection, I discovered she was right. The doll wasn’t Reese; it was Maggie, who belonged to Emma. She must have left it when we took the kids to see My Neighbor Totoro. I sent Emma’s dad a quick text to let him know we had Maggie before the search for Reese began. By the time she needed to leave for school, we still hadn’t found her.
*I was majorly confused when Liz couldn’t call Reese out. Even more confused when Reese didn’t have a name. After a little huffing and puffing, I found out the doll wasn’t hers. We are still searching for Reese.
At first, I wondered why the game has a one-way system in place. If your household leaves something behind, they throw it in your inventory. But other Sims leave their stuff at my house all the time. The difference is that my Sim and I will actually miss that item or likely need it.
Vic: "Okay, stand still... and try to look like a person who definitely knows what she's doing."
Phee: "... That's NOT reassuring, Vic!"
Vic: "Relax. Worst case scenario we'll pretend the blurry ones are 'artistic choices'."
"There it is! The 'I don't bite unless tipped well' smile!"
Phee: "Please, stop! I'm trying to look confident"
Vic: "Perfect! Bold. Mysterious. Slightly intimidating. The brand is thriving."
Phee: "Good! Now take ten more while my confidence is still cooperating."

Welcome to Ravenwood. Some towns greet you with sunshine. Ravenwood prefers dramatic lighting.
But don't worry, the atmosphere is only mildly ominous.
Crow's Crossing doesn't pretend to be normal. And honestly... neither do we.
Vic: "So.. should we be worried about the well that literally sighs?"
Phee: "Only if it sighs louder than you do on Monday mornings."
I never knew Ravenwood could be so beautiful. I've never played in that world besides to hold 2 funerals and I only visited the one lot. But this is eye opening 🤩
Sometimes you have to leave home to hear yourself think... Or to outrun whatever I haven't figured out how to name. Off we go. Me, Louie and whatever life crisis this trip counts as.
Music helps. Even when my mind insists on being extra. I told myself the move would be good for me. Volume up. Thoughts down. Fair compromise.
Louie's secret? Ignore your problems until the problem becomes someone else's.. Wish I could sleep through major life changes too. Inspiring, honestly.
New town, same chaos. At least I've got the one roommate who never judges me.. and my emotional support stinkrat.
