Kosmischer Läufer - Die lange Gerade

For the first time since it was recorded in East Berlin over 30 years ago the music of Martin Zeichnete can finally be heard.

A disciple of the Kosmische Muzik of the likes of Kraftwerk, Can and Neu! that was drifting across the Wall from the West, Martin's idea of using the motorik, hypnotic beat of krautrock in the training of athletes was taken and exploited by the DDRs Olympic Committee.

"As winter approaches I've slowly but surely turned to a more escapist means of occupying my time and imagination; I've been fantasizing about the first snow fall and how it changes the space we live in. I ponder the effects it has not only on the way we live but also on how it challenges our senses and mood. Depending on the individual our surroundings can change to a winter wonderland or a hibernation full of melancholy. I wanted to create a performance that we as a community could share and partake in at the same time. This mix, meant to be listened to upon the first major snow fall, will hopefully create an atmosphere to listeners that boosts the emotions gained from this major environmental event."
