L. Quararius
Weight/Height
79.4kg/1.2m
Notes
L. Quararius swims the waters of planet Difordb, an impossible being in a sea of endless cold. Their lives are brief; their existence a blip, nothing but a single desperate thrash against the global currents that carry them. Scavengers, they feed upon the soft downward drift of plankton; feasting upon the dying remains of tiny organisms.

Another of the galaxy's curiosities, the creatures on this planet appear to be entirely synthetic, but they behave just as any other living creature would. I watched them as they roamed about in small groups, it looked as if they were grazing. Peculiar, because I can't see any sign that they would be able to feed this way.
They seemed to express an interest in the ion batteries I use to recharge my hazard protection systems and, when offered, will absorb the charge from them. It seems like this makes them happy? It was enough to win their trust, at least, and for them to allow me to see them up close.
One of the friendlier ones has even allowed me to pet it, and has been following me closely ever since. I've been calling it "Ace", and I'm thinking of bringing it along to accompany me on my travels once I leave this planet, if it seems happy enough to come along.

The data on this planet appeared to be missing from all scanners... Taking myself down to investigate, I found a world of unending rain, towering plant life and... A deep, haunting red.

While taking a break on this scorched planet, I encountered these incredible insects, M. Snaklitea according to my visor.
Mostly, they seemed indifferent to my presence, content to roam around grazing on the vegetation that grows here, however one seemingly curious individual approached me. After synthesising some creature pellets to offer to them, they seem to have taken quite a liking to me.
I've decided to call them Cobi, and they seem quite happy to travel along with me now.

Another long-forgotten beacon has led me to the wreckage of another doomed freighter. Half buried and coated in a thick layer of sand, I can tell that it's likely been many years since it came to rest here, and yet my mind still drifts to the fate of the crew: would any of them have made it out? Where would they have gone?
The logs offered few answers; what few files could be pulled are corrupted beyond all hope of saving. I tried to put these questions out of my mind as I began digging through what remains of the cargo. I feel like I'm picking clean the bones of some long-dead titan, each creak of metal like a haunting cry. All I can do is focus on the value of the items uncovered instead, and the units that are going to make it all worth the effort.

Personal Log:
Whilst unloading a shipment of scrap in the neighbouring system of Gusoin, I happened upon a Korvax letting go of their old shuttle model starship for an incredibly low price. It's old, battered, and a number of core systems are in dire need of repair, but it's nothing that can't be salvaged.
I paid their price, returned it to my current base, and have since renamed the ship, its full ID now being the SC-01 Rebirth, with the hope that it'll live up to that name with a little bit of effort invested. The bulk, extra space and larger cargo hold should make it much more equipped for longer journeys and shipping my wares.
I'm starting to feel like I'm finding my feet here in the galaxy, like I know where I stand.

When I first arrived on this planet, it appeared entirely unremarkable; the giant fungal growths that appear to make up the majority of this planet's flora seemed impressive, but not necessarily remarkable against the other, far more alien landscapes I've witnessed so far.
That is, until night fell, revealing that all of these mushrooms are bioluminescent. The glows pulse across the land in waves, coordinated as if by some shared mind.
I can only marvel at its beauty...

Signal beacon detected on the planet's surface, possible crash site, however a blistering rain makes it too dangerous to explore at present.
Just waiting for the storm to pass...
Does anyone else really want to eat the scalding fruit from these trees? Has anyone tried?
