But sure, two people becoming friends and falling in love is a shitty plot.

-Dan and Jenny's mother leaving them and cheating on their father

-Blair's bulimia

-Chuck's inability to cope with his father's death, and his desillusion about  meeting expectations

-Blair sleeping with Chuck

-Serena sleeping with Nate while he was dating Blair

-Georgina making Dan believe Milo is his son

-Eric's suicide attempts

-Jenny's disappointment over what the UES really is

and much more.

I didn't criticize those because they ARE dramatic and moreover, extremely believable, we coud actually relate.

In fact, I didn't even criticize any of the plotlines in my first reblog, I just told them as they happened, but they are so ridiculous that just stating them served as a critique. There is "drama" and there is "we didn't know what to write so we decided to take the audience for idiots".
