Kylie Matte Liquid Lip Kit

 So I got these in March and was so darn excited to get them. I couldn't shut up about how I camped at 5am in the morning and snagged these two.

Forwarding to when I swatched it; I hate the colours on me.

These are so DIFFERENT compared to all the swatches I see online. Koko K is a beautiful warm pale pink on others and Posie a gorgeous berry. On me all I see is GREY. And why are they so dark on me?! Koko K is about 5 shades lighter from what I see online!

Now alright, I'm very fair and cool undertoned. I prefer light natural looking makeup. The whole flawless-no-pore-or-blemishes Kardashian look just isn't for me. And I think that style of makeup best suits these matte liquid lipsticks.

The formula is nice, lovely lip pencils and staying power but I just can't get used to how corpse-like these make me look.

I'm really wary of all her lip kits now. I would love to try 22 and her new colour Dirty Peach but I'm just so scared they're gonna look grey on me too. For the total price I pay as well? I would rather splurge on Colourpop or Kat Von D.

If you're warm skin toned or prefer thicker American style makeup, these would probably look great on you. Otherwise if you're pasty white and cool undertoned like me... Just nah.

Heimish All Clean Balm 

Completely blows Banila Co's Clean It Zero out of the water. This contains no parabans, colourings or fragrance (if I'm not wrong). 

My skin is quite sensitive and this makeup remover/cleanser is great. 

 Well I'm no cleansing expert but I have tried Innisfree's Green Apple cleanser, Banila Co and Biore recently and this one is the most effective and gentle for me. It is oil based BUT it does not leave an oily film on your skin after washing.(The Banila Co Clean It Zero does. You have to go in multiple times with warm water and it still feels greasy. Urgh.)

 I can use it for my eye makeup too and it doesn't hurt my eyes terribly (stings a bit and makes them dry but after what I experienced with Banila this is nothing. You shouldn't be getting this stuff in your eyes anyway?!).

My only complaint would be the seal. It never shuts properly UNLESS you screw the lid of the container on tightly. You see the image with the spatula shaped indent? That lid does not fit at all. And I tried to squeeze it into the tub and ended up mashing half the product inside diagonally. 

If I can find an even gentler but just as effective product, sure I would move on, but for now this is my go to makeup remover.

Heimish is a relatively new brand, launched this year and I hope they keep rolling out nice products like this balm. The packaging is gorgeous too.

3CE Matte Lip Crayon #Blushed 

(Rose red with hints of orange) Semi matte, not too drying, will not last throughout the day, does not transfer too much either. 

 3CE Original Lipstick #902 Rose Breath 

(Exactly the same as the 3CE crayon except glossier) 

Not drying, rather glossy texture. Will not last at all throughout the day. Far more rose-red toned than shown in the Stylenanda/3CE ads (and a lot darker too). 

 BBIA Last Lipstick #04

(Rose colour but with more orange in it, seems to suit cooler skin tones though!) Semi Matte and a really nice formula for the price! You can get these on gmarket and qoo10 for under $10. 

 BBIA Last Lipstick #06 

(Orange terracotta, supposed to be similar to M.A.C's Velvet Teddy) 

Looks a little more matte than number 04, may make darker skin tones look sickly and grey.

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream #Stockholm 

(A very pretty nude, has a little more red than BBIA #06) Love these, price wise and pigmentation wise. I favour these over Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip nudes because these DO NOT turn grey toned on my lips. Colourpop looks terrible on me. Does not last very long honestly and transfer easily.

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream #Zurich 

(Has the most pink tone out of all the swatches) 

My favourite MLBB colour. Too bad it's lasting power is terrible but then again, for that price I guess I can't complain too much. 

Reference: I am very fair with cool undertones, idk my MAC foundation colour but I am too fair for Hera 13, Laneige 21, Urban Decay's Concealer in Light Warm and Tarte's Fair Beige Amazonian Clay. I might make a foundation swatch in the near future.
