when the band kicked off and he got away from home more and more , away from his dad, he lost the sense of stability the abuse put on his frail body. or maybe he just liked seeing his pale skin bloom beautifully into red yellow and purple hues! he was so bratty all the time because he secretely hoped someone would snap and slap the shit out of him, impulsive and hard, without hesitation just like he remembers it. but no one in the band ever got to that point.

so it shocks and satisfies him equally when he gets close to pete and the man takes the bait immediately. ryan tries all the same tactics bickering with pete about lyrics and how he wants everything done a certain way, knowing its not all in his control and pete gets frustrated with the kid quickly. the first time his open palm meets ryan's pale cheek, the boy gasps deliciously and brings a hand up to rub at the skin, already reddening.

" 's that all you got?" and suddenly ryan's head is whipped in the opposite direction with the force of a much harder slap . his eyes water and so does his mouth, but he swallows it and stares up at pete with big brown eyes lined in black, silently challenging. just begging the older man for more.
