Firstly, yes, I think Diogo would definitely be very worried about him. This kid has spent so long with Marc, exposure to his countless injuries and recoveries and surgeries, he will surely have a lot of fear and concern around crashes from anyone in the sport

Now when that is his teammate who has been such a good companion to the rookie, helping him learn his footing in the sport, it must be worrying

Also I think with Marc’s injuries, Diogo can be there, and with Álex too now especially, Diogo can call and text and visit when they aren’t at races

Even when he isn’t in contact with Álex, he’s with Marc all weekend so he’ll have the best updates he could ask for

Back to Johann though, maybe they still aren’t so close, and Diogo doesn’t want to overstep by phoning him out of nowhere, and he doesn’t really know who to ask about him

If he could, he’d be at Johann’s bedside in the hospital, but if he left it a little too long to text, a few days of nothing would feel awkward, and now he’s just fretting

At some point I’m sure Marc would get sick of his anxious twitching and drag the kid to whatever hospital Johann is in, shove him through the door and let them sort it out

Diogo looks kind of like a permanently startled ferret to me sometimes, so maybe not the most relaxing to have as a bedside nurse, but I think Johann would be able to appreciate the sentiment, and be as much of a reassurance to Diogo as Diogo would be good company in his recovery
