There are, somehow, not one but two official Márquez perfumes. The two versions of the official Marc perfumes are the Original Sport (the red one, released in 2016) and the Extreme Sport (the black one, released a year later in 2017, with a notably more intense scent). I've compiled the design graphics used for the promo, along with a couple other goodies.

I cannot believe I'm making this post.

Original Hero Sport

The fragrance accord of Marc's original Hero Sport (aka the red one) is mainly citrus + spice + synthetic with undertones of sweet + fruity + fresh. Leather seems to be the main note at play here, which is fitting since he's so entwined with his racing leathers.

Hero Sport Extreme

Meanwhile, the profile of Marc's Extreme Sport fragrance (the black design, below) is a bit more intense, and its notes are a little warmer and stronger... Also, sidenote, I'm a little hypnotised by the visual of the intense one smashing through a hybrid material of glass and water. Okay, fine, that is intense. You've proven your point.

Arbitrary Valentino Time

Now, for the moment you've been waiting for. It's Valentino time. Cause, A: I couldn't resist and B: I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I didn't include this...

I did some extra-curricular research cause there's no official VR46 fragrance (which is, in my opinion, genuinely such a missed opportunity... this dude literally sells licensed chips but not a signature scent), so, I'm gonna elect Le Labo's VertiveR46 :)

Some people call it 'faux vertiver', and tbh they're kinda right. This perfume smells almost like it's hiding something. Valentino's fragrance accord is predominantly woody + amber + spiced heat, with undertones of aromatic + warm + earthy.

Valentino's assigned scent leans more gender neutral, and, on a bit of a funny note, it was released in 2006. That's 10 years before Marc dropped his perfume, so haha duo-appropriate age gap (off by a couple years in terms of their real-life counterparts, but still). Valentino's perfume is more sophisticated and classic, whilst Marc's is more modern. And Valentino's season leans more towards autumn and winter compared to Marc's freshness of spring and summer.

I need you to look at the (arbitrary but funny) colour difference between the 46 and 93 fragrance accords, and giggle with me. Valentino's carefully crafted and perfected professional scent that he'd probably stay up late arguing over with Uccio about what notes he'd remove or add in vs Marc's 'Eh, let's wack all these together, I like these colours they look fun :)'
