I just need to tell someone. I can't tell my mom, I'm too ashamed.
A guy I really like asked me out a few months ago and we went on a few dates. I've barely even kissed anyone before and he knew that. He talked about me as if I was the best thing that ever happened to him and we even talked about marrige.
I ended up sleeping with him. I feel so guilty. I thought he would still want me but he's pretty much stopped talking to me. It was so stupid. It was so naive. I know better. It was just so nice to be adored and wanted after 20 years being ignored by men. I thought I had finally found someone who loved me.
I need prayer. I cry all the time. I was so dumb. I know better. Worst of all we work together.
I'm sorry I just needed to tell someone. Please pray for me. I'm almost too ashamed to go to confession. I'm scared it will happen again because I'm so lonely.
Anon, I will absolutely 100% pray for you. I promise that whenever you do go to confession, the priest will not judge you or scold you or "cast the first stone." Heck, priests have special prayers they pray after each confession they hear to help them forget what they just heard. I understand my experience isn't universal, but I've never had anything but postive experiences with the priests that have heard my confession. You are clearly repentant. I think you'll find once you find yourself in the confessional, it'll be so much easier than you thought and it'll all come pouring out. The priest will help you sort out your thoughts.
As for telling your mom, I'm afraid I don't know what advice to give because I personally don't have much experience in the "I did something very bad, how do i tell my mom??" department. I know the things i should say to comfort you and to advise you, but I would just be a hypocrite saying them because I don't actually know. Is there anyone else who can help anon?
All of this is good advice but I just want to add:
Anon, you are NOT alone. You are NOT the only one who has made a mistake. You are NOT the only person who has made this mistake.
The Devil likes to tell us lies like we've fallen too far or like nobody will understand. But those are lies.
The truth is you're not alone. The truth is God still loves you. I myself was in a similar situation and I was scared to tell my mom. But instead of being shamed. I was comforted.
Thats what Christ wants for you. Comfort. I pray today that He brings you the comfort you need. I pray today that He gives you the strength to go to confession and that He brings you to the priest you need. I pray today that He brings true friends into your life who will walk through you in this sorrow. I pray that He shows you who He is and how He is working. I pray He heals you. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Sweetheart I'm going to tell you what I hope someone would tell my own 20 year old sister if she ever found herself in this situation: you are not made less by this, you are so, so, SO loved, and Jesus and His Blessed Mother love you. God is so glad you want to come back and it is in Him that you will find so much healing and strength. This is a sad, scary moment, but Jesus is there waiting for you to let Him forgive and heal you. The confessional is a place of triumph, not a place of shame, and it will be for you, too. Let the Prince of Peace bring peace to you. Follow His words from the gospels, ask for your sins to be forgiven, and go and sin no more.
And as an aside, I am so, so sorry that your first real experience with romance was so heartbreaking. To offer that gift of self, though not in its proper place within marriage, and to then have it be so utterly rejected is so awful and unfair to you. You were and are worth so much more than that. You are chosen and beloved by the Most High God. He cherishes every fiber of your being and He weeps with you in this. I promise you, He wants so much better for you than a man who would use your body and spurn your soul. I pray that the man who hurt you comes to realize how horribly he's treated you and seeks repentance as well.
Most of all, I want you to know that there are so many of us here for you. The enemy doesn't want you to believe that. He wants you alone so that he can keep you alone and in shame and in sin because he wants your destruction. God doesn't want this. He wants your healing, He wants you to shed sin and shame, He wants you to come back to Him. This stirring you feel in your soul is Him pursuing you. Let Him. Let Him take you back. Let Him bring you home. Peace be with you.
Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him.

āWeāve shifted from one large, national battle against Roe, to 50 individual state battles to protect life. Itās more important now than ever that as we fight for life in our own states, we continue to unite with pro-life advocates from around the country each year.ā
Iām fond of this movement, in my country (Brazil) we are facing a lot of challeges defending life and freedom of speech. Thereās always someone that is influenced by the devil, but we must neither depear or fear. These battles will test our faith and obedience towards God. Stay vigilant and ready brothers and sisters!Ā
hi. could you please pray for me? i just enrolled in the Confraternity of the most holy rosary but am nervous because currently iām not in a state of grace and am having doubts if i should really pray the rosary since i feel like i wouldnāt be praying sincerely. i donāt really know how to pray if one is in a state of mortal sinā¦
I will pray for you! Actually, I have never come across anything that says you canāt pray the Rosary while being in a state of mortal sin. This is because when we pray the Rosary the prayer gets our mind focused off of sin and āmonkey brainā fast thoughts and slows them down to meditate on the life of Jesus and His mother, Mary. The Rosary is such a powerful prayer and weapon against the devil, that he fears it. He sees your Rosary as a sword in your hand when you pray it. š”ļø The Rosary prayer is so powerful that it has converted many sinners!!āā My favorite example to share is Blessed Bartolo Longo. The Holy Child of Atocha (Santo NiƱo de Atocha) 13th century Feast Day: December 25 Patronage: Mexico, children, pilgrims, prisoners, travelers
The devotion to the Holy Infant of Atocha originated in Spain during the Muslim invasion. In Atocha, the Moors kept the Catholic men imprisoned and would only allow children 12 and under to bring them food and drink. After a fervent prayer from families of the town to the Mother of God under the title of Our Lady of Atocha, a child pilgrim miraculously appeared bringing a basket of food and a gourd filled with drink to the prisoners that never emptied. The townspeople realized that it was the Child Jesus. In the church, the shoes of the Infant in the statue of Our Lady of Atocha were worn and dusty. Each time the village women replaced them, they found them worn and dusty again.
