Ishiko briefly looked up at him, replying with a somewhat forced smile. It was ridiculous, really. The amount of anxiety she felt over seeing his parents was not only incredible, but it was also incredibly unnecessary. She knew that his parents were no threat to her. That even if they were, they wouldn't act hostile towards her due to her pregnancy. She knew that being with them was much safer than staying home. "Let's go," Ishiko responded lightly.

Ishiko couldn't help but be bothered, and she couldn't exactly tell if it were the tone (or lack there of) that the man was using, or the fact that there was still a sense of urgency being given off. "Uhhh, y-yes," she said, passing her suitcase and shifting Scarlett to test more comfortably in her arms. "Thank you."

Letting out a held breath, he replied with a tremor in his voice, “Yes, I suppose you’re right. Still, one can’t help but feel a bit…..oh, I think I see our party waiting for us. See the man with the sign?”

With his unsteady voice, Ishiko felt her heart break a bit. She didn’t want this trip to cause him any kind of distress. As he pointed out the other man, she decided it would be best to drop the topic, at least for the time being. “Are you parents with him?”

Cornelius shook his head before dropping his voice and whispering somberly, “I don’t think I told you but Mother has been having a bad week. Sometimes she’ll disappear from the house and forget where she is or she’ll spend hours thinking that I’m still a child and…my sister is still alive. Father deemed it best that our driver comes to meet us instead.”

She nodded the slightest bit, unsure of what exactly she shod say. Ishiko knew that she should be offering him some kind of support, but she had no idea on how to do so. "Well...it is to keep her safe," she murmured, failing to meet his eyes.
