Unsubbed from D'Angelo Wallace (again) because I thought he'd actually do his due diligence in terms of research on topics but instead with his newest upload/stream, he uses an incredibly biased source that has constantly changed its own claims.
People in comments bringing up his staff that claimed him guilty but ignoring that those same staff members, like the maid, would steal from him and had everything to gain by lying. People bringing up the bed thing even though he grew up poor in a small house in Gary and everyone frequently shared the same beds. McCaulky Caulkin even said his bedroom was two stories with three bathrooms.
When this whole thing first went down in 93, Tom Sneddon didn't care about actual victims of abuse, Corey Feldman had been abused and was ready to tell his story and had lists of names and Michael was not one of them but the cops didn't care unless it was dirt on MJ. You have phone calls that literally prove the allegations were extortion schemes too.
The baby shrine thing? Is a familiar scene to me, I think it might be something boomers that were abused horrendously in childhood do? My grandmother had a scene similar, baby dolls everywhere, some things of stock photo babies just like that shrine and crosses and such nearby. My grandmother in childhood was physically abused to the point of near death and bleeding, had seen traumatic things and was eventually sexually abused, she was robbed of childhood and it's innocence essentially. MJ went through similar including sexual abuse from doctors and nurses when he was unconscious for procedures. I genuinely think the baby shrine and baby doll is just a boomer way of dealing with childhood trauma and that the only reason he's being questioned and called a pedo for it is because Michael is male. People were creeped out by my grandmother's collection and shrine, but they never called her a pedo for it and just assume it's a normal older woman thing.
I hate the feeling where I see a new video essayist on YouTube, think they bring up good points, and then they do a video about a topic and just spew out a bunch of blatantly false information, causing me to have to unsub and even click "don't recommend channel" everytime they pop up in my feed.
I don't think the whole baby shrine thing is new either, Michael had photos of children and babies in Neverland, and the intentions of collecting such photos was, as you said, his way of coping with childhood trauma. It's kind of like how people save or collect photos of puppies and kittens because they think they're cute, and it brings them comfort! That doesn't mean they're zoophiles or anything.
MJ said privately to Rabbi Schmuley (he didn't know he was being recorded) that he had a lot of mannequins of babies and children (and adults) because it helped him feel less lonely because of how severe his isolation was.
I definitely think they are only saying this stuff because he's a man, I know if he were a woman no one would be saying anything about it. I hate the double standards in our society when it comes to questioning people about their actions.
