So, our game’s a metroidvania, but we’re super into building the lore with hand-drawn characters and visual novel-style dialogues 🤌. You’ll only see this charming face during chats! Otherwise, he’s gonna be stylish but less detailed—and not so in-your-face, lol :D

Cybernetic arm 🦾, a beat-up crow-like cloak 🐦‍⬛, goggles, and that hooked nose—doesn’t it just scream mech-noir vibes? 😎

Plus, here’s the first sketch of our prototype location! Ruined city, rust, neon lights… Decay and glam, the whole deal. What time period do you think inspired our game world? 💅

Let's talk about "Shades Of Psychosis"

After a super long break, we’re totally freaking out to jump back into Shades of Psychosis—our visual novel where reality’s just falling apart at the seams. 🥺

It’s been a few years, and the journey wasn’t exactly a walk in the park. Our old artist hit some tough times, but let’s not get all mopey about it. Today’s all about fresh starts! Meet Ultramarine (https://t.me/Y11tr)—the new artist who’s breathed life into this dark, twisted world!

She’s totally revamped the Shades of Psychosis style: characters and locations got a whole new look, but we kept that dark, weird, and totally unique vibe we’re all about. 🖌

This was always the vision, and even if we took a little detour, we never lost our way. We’re so stoked to show off the new Masha and Lisa! 😍

Their minds are like a maze where shadows whisper secrets and reality warps. Masha’s got that gothic edge, and Lisa’s giving off anxious vibes with her stare… They’re ready to spill their story. But how do you hold onto yourself when your mind’s cracking at the edges? What do you see in their eyes?

In Japanese mythology, there are the creation gods—the "first woman" and "first man," Izanami and Izanagi. They were together, like in a vow: "Till death do us part." For gods, that’s usually no big deal, but in the underworld, they had a huge fight, and their clash became a symbol of the struggle between life and death. ☀️🌑

Trapped in the underworld, Izanami, burning with rage and a thirst for revenge, swore to her husband that she’d take 1000 souls of his beloved creations—humans—every single day, plunging the world into despair. But Izanagi, full of determination, shot back that he’d bring 1500 babies to life, spreading hope in people’s hearts. 👶

This is one of the most important myths in Japanese mythology. Of course, we couldn’t help but draw inspiration from it for our game, though we tweaked it a bit. 🪭

In our game, we’re putting a big focus on balance in the whole universe—from blooming to withering. While the original myth is all about life outweighing death, in our version, the scales have to stay even.

When’s the last time you checked those dusty rags shoved in the corner? If it’s been a while, watch out — Ittan-momen might be lurking! 🪭

In Japanese folklore, forgotten stuff can turn into yokai-tsukumogami — basically, things that come to life. Not all of them are bad news, but don’t let your guard down: even old slippers might jump you at night! And then there’s Ittan-momen — a sneaky flying cloth that loves ambushing distracted travelers and wrapping around their necks. In our game, it’s just as fast and tricky! 😈😈

But come on, isn’t it kinda cute? Think you can dodge its cotton grip? Find out when the beta drops!

We're working hard, adding details to our game that reflect Japanese culture and lore. Ever heard of Torii gates? They're Japan's spirit gates, symbolizing Shinto beliefs. They separate the sacred from the everyday

You walk through one, you're in the realm of gods and spirits, but watch out - it's a two-way street!

You'll find these gates in different places: near temples, mountain bases, huge rocks, waterfalls, beautiful coastlines, even in lakes! Torii in wild places are called "floating gates". Nature here is so stunning, it feels like the gods live there

The origin of Torii? Some say they're from the 8th century, inspired by China and India. Others think they started as four posts with a rope, with two taller ones for priests. Sounds like a Torii, huh?

In the "Kojiki", there's this cool legend. Susanoo, the storm god, upset Amaterasu, the sun goddess,so bad she hid in a cave, causing eternal night.The gods threw a party with a huge bird perch and a thousand birds singing to lure her out

Initially, we had a lot of detail in the character, which is why Takugawa was lost in the background we were making for the game.

Then we decided to go for a vector graphics style, with a detailed background.

At the moment, the direction for the game's background has also changed to create our own design.

Suleyman is not only a talented artist, but also a kind and caring person. Family means everything to him, and he always finds time to call his loved ones. ❤️ Tea fuels his focus, and he takes his #gamedev seriously. No nonsense here! 👍
