Italian sculptor Lorenzo Quinn sculpted his project Force of Nature I and II, after being a witness to the devastating destruction of hurricanes in Thailand and in the Southern United States. Constructed from bronze, stainless steel and aluminum, the work reflects nature’s perceived powerful energy, which is unpredictable, beautiful, yet dangerous. By omitting Mother Nature’s face, Quinn reminds us that there is no sense of security or protection from the Earth itself. We are not in control, sudden destruction awaits at any time. 

Paul Cocksedge Studio has constructed a vertical and horizontal staircase with the purpose of having an open room for relaxation and socialization. Constructed as a 12 meter high spiral staircase, there are isolated spaces for reading, writing, talking, thinking and resting. Now there is a resting spot between point A and B, which includes wooden benches and a garden.

London-based illustrator and animator Steve Cutts composes satirical images, which challenge and critique modern’s society’s capitalistic nature. Often portraying “the rat race” in his work, Cutts composes vibrant, edgy images, which reveal the harsh truth of humanity’s enslavement to money and technology. Sometimes shocking, and other times borderline grotesque, Cutts aim is to expose humanity’s addiction technology and  its unhealthy mental and physical conditions.
