... What if the child was one of somebody that has a bit of their life devoted to you? Though not as much as they used to because they are trying to properly care for the said kid, but unknown to the caretakers knowledge, the kid has heard about you and actually believes in you a bit?... It asked, standing- floating? Straight up, its legs still kicked back behind itself, it didn't mind dragging Maxwell along also, would give it an easier time and also would keep Maxwell from actually trying to kill someone from his parental rage if Cub was actually hurt
