Cassie instantly bounces upright, eyes brightening with a grin, “I love study sessions! They make the whole catching up thing less awful.” they lowered their voice, biting their bottom lip before speaking, “I know I should like… chill with going out at night. But also, I don’t wanna, so there’s that,” they shrug with just a little smirk, “how are your classes going?”

“i’m like tinkerbell, i need constant attention or i’ll die just to be petty,” margot laughed. “you should just be happy i don’t talk about true crime to you more often, i could start telling you about everything i research.”

❝ morgan… are you implying you’re doing it right ? because this just became a very different conversation that i am direly interested in being a part of. ❞ he raised both of his eyebrows emphatically. the comical little shit.  ❝ it’s criminology 101. the apartment is included in your daily schedule. it’s a graphed point where you’re definitely going to be at some point in time. logically, i’d definitely kidnap you from there. ❞

“that… that sounds like me when I write fan fic… oh…” the brief realization of this hits cassie hard for moment, though she dedicates only a blink more to that before continuing with a sigh, “in the beginning of the semester, i was like ‘yeah, bring on the classes!’ and now that it’s finals and i have 18 credits worth of finals to do plus my work with uncle hank plus like… being a human. but the thing about college is like… you do it all to yourself.”

Noh tries to keep a serious look on his face, but they were quick to grin as they talked about it. “I think the first challenge is getting all of those bees in there. It would be a cool power wouldn’t it?” He wonders what that would be like for a moment. “I’m glad you’re not allergic though, that is good information to have.” 

It happened so fast, that if she hadn’t approached him, Wren probably would have thought he imagined the blaster bouncing from and scratching the record tucked under his arm. “Well, fuck me,” Wren mumbled, his voice a bit louder than he was anticipating it to be. He had finally convinced his boss to give him the last vinyl of the newest Hozier release, not even two steps out the door and it was damaged. Examining the record, his eyes finally met hers after a few moments. “It was free… but I had to beg my boss for months to get my hands on it.” He wanted to be angry, to show his anger, but he buried it deep inside his chest instead for the time being. “It’s… fine.” 

“oh man. oh man,” she repeated, her heart sinking as she realized what exactly she had shot a ( literally ) smoking hole straight through. it was already bad enough without the casualty being hozier. “listen, i am... so sorry,” she didn’t think he was fine. SHE wouldn’t be, if it had been her on the receiving end, “i can buy you another vinyl. i’ll order it from amazon, we’ll have it tomorrow - i’ll fix it.” well. obviously not fix, but...

❝ are you worried for yourself ? don’t worry, honey. you’re the stark golden girl. you don’t have anything to worry about. ❞ if skylar had it in her, she’d be envious of morgan. she got to be everything skylar lost. but she didn’t. she was ruthless, and she could be unkind, but she wasn’t a particularly bitter person. ❝ how long until she posts something on her youtube with messy hair and lots of tears ? ❞ 

Frozen in place, the blaster had been such a flash of light that black spots still blurred the eyes of the boy back from the grave, and what’s more, the sound had caused his muscles to go into flexion in a way which would have, hopefully, defended the boy from an attack, meaning that he was now curled in the fetal position on the floor with his eyes widen open and arms over his head. He had dropped so hard that his shoulder was beginning to pulsate with pain as the shot of adrenaline ebbed away. He stayed frozen for a second or two before unfurling himself at the sound of her voice, and he stood up to face her with a visage void of expression, as if he had not just coward at a misfire. In fact, there would be no acknowledgement on his behalf whatsoever that he reacted the way he did, and the only remnants of his behavior that remained was the vigorous shaking that vibrated throughout his entire body. The door, his door, which now stood halfway off its hinges with a black charred gap in the middle of it exposed the boy’s room, and the boy himself, who’s very last expectation was to have a blaster fire into his room. He gazed at the girl who had committed the act, and with a flat tone said, “I didn’t really buy the door, so I think that would be better settled through the school.”

“are you...” she wasn’t sure what to say, really. she didn’t know if she’d really witnessed what she thought she had, through the smoke that had plumed from the new hole in the lopsided door - and the fact that theo had stood back up and wasn’t acting as to be expected didn’t help. she cleared her throat, blindly pulling out a few key wires from within the gloves circuit board as she looked to him and continued - not needing to glance down and focus when the action was like muscle memory, by now. you couldn’t put the safety on a disconnected blaster, after all. “i’ll make sure they put a new door in, tonight-” her gaze searched him, looking for any indication other than the shaking that he was anything but... “are you alright?”

will chose to ignore morgan’s snide remark, instead focusing on the continuation of his rant. he still couldn’t comprehend how someone could believe that HE didn’t exist. he was william wade wilson, he was the accountant! he couldn’t believe it! “i can’t believe this,” he mumbled, his frown growing wider as his gaze fell to the ground. it was like his life’s work was falling to pieces in front of his very eyes- it was tragic. “that wasn’t a failure!” he insisted, eyes widening as he lifted his head to look at morgan. “i didn’t even attempt- that was like a decision not to do it,” he tried to explain to no avail. “i’m not a metaphor! i’m will!” 

“how do you know i’m not just faking to get you to call me pretty?” she laughed, giving morgan a teasing wink. 

As if she wasn’t stressed enough with her TA position and her own routine and finals coming up, now someone had shot a missile at her and totally ruined her laptop. With her entire english paper on it. Which was worth a decent portion of her grade. As understanding as she tried to be, this was just too much. “Can you pay for my grade, too?” She snapped. Immediately she heard herself and backed down. “Sorry, I just. My entire paper was on that. And now its in до хуя́, дохуя́ little metal bits.”

“oh my god...” as if she hadn’t felt bad ENOUGH seeing the laptop go up in smoke, one blast straight through the screen - she had known she had fucked up, but this was next level. “i’m so sorry,” it wasn’t good enough, of course, but she didn’t know what she could offer- “i...- god, i’ll replace the laptop, and i-” a thought. not exactly the best one, not one she should have been offering ( her parents were going to MURDER her ), but... “i’m not gonna offer to pay your grade. not that i, like, think you’d want me to or anything, but... my parents would kill me if i even THOUGHT about it. but- i’m...- i’m good, with technology. can i have the pieces? i might be able to salvage something for you.”
