Happy Halloween 🎃

It’s sad in France we don’t really have this whole “halloween spirit”, it’s not as intense as it is in the us or canada :(. When I was a kind we used to have pumpkins all over the house but we don’t anymore and even outside there’s nothing.

Anyways so today like the past days was so unproductive, I absolutely did not stick to my planning. But I guess that’s ok because I also need to rest a little, finals are in a month and a half so I still have time and I prefer to make sure that what I learn is actually known even though it takes more time.

And I have almost finished the Haunting of hill house, this show is a masterpiece.

Two and a half thousand years ago, the Greeks called the night nux, the stars astra, and the moon Selênê.

Two thousand years ago, the Romans called the night nox, the stars stellae, and the moon Luna.

Kings and queens and heroes looked up at them. So did travelers coming home, and little children who sneaked out of bed. So did slaves, and mothers and soldiers and old shepherds, and Sappho and Muršili and Enheduanna and Socrates and Hatshepsut and Cyrus and Cicero. In this darkness it didn’t matter who they were, or where they stood. Only that they were human.

Think of that tonight, when you close your window. You are not alone. You share this night sky with centuries of dreamers and stargazers, and people who longed for quiet. Are you anxious? The Hittites were too: they called it pittuliyaš. Does your heart ache? The Greeks felt it too: they called it akhos. Those who look up to the stars for comfort are a family, and you belong to them. Your ancestors have stood under Nanna, Sîn, Arma, Selênê and Luna for five thousand years. Now its light is yours.

16 . 07 . 2018 – W E E K / / 2 9 i wanted to do something different this week by making a dashboard on one side and the week on the other side:) i also saw a video on youtube where this girl would “blackout” her pages and i thought it was a cool idea, so i decided to try it out myself:3 tbh, i prefer it this way lol i think next time i’ll get a black page notebook😈💀🖤

also, i wanna dedicate this week to fix my room and clean out my wardrobe. i’m working working towards a minimalist lifestyle cause i really like it a lot lol and i think it would bring me some peace, too
