Absolute Batman 20 感想
Gentleman Ghost is the character of all time. He does reverse Scooby Doo schemes. For years writers refused to confirm whether he was actually a ghost or not. He exploded like 3 times in his original 5 appearances. He can summon guns out of thin air. He dressed up as Catwoman one time. He's in a weird situationship with Hawkman and Hawkwoman. He turned into a big fuck off monster once and then never again. He's horny. He's bisexual. What more could you possibly want?
I want to learn more exclamations that aren’t strictly just religious stuff. “Jesus Christ” this, “oh my god” that, nah I want something fresh.
What are some of y’all’s favorite exclamations that aren’t about god?
first submission and we're already off to a fantastic start. absolutely love this one thank you
ok its time for the challenge round now we want nominations that arent about sex either actually
had a friend who used to make new ones up on the spot. The only one that stuck with me was 'good golly jelly beans'. If something catastrophic happens I go for 'that's not ideal.'

I swear, Gentleman Ghost has to be one of the funniest villains ever.
The guy spent most of his history being a Scooby-Doo villain in reverse, where he was actually a ghost, but pretended to be a common criminal that was pretending to be ghost.
And he was so good at pretending to be a fake ghost that he had Hawkman and Batman completely convinced for decades that The Gentleman Ghost was a regular guy that was really committed to his gimmick.
Not even for any real reason, dude did it just because he thought it was funny.
There was recently a copyright infringement case in YA and I need everyone to know that the following sentence was in the legal decision:
“Hot, sexy, dangerous boys, central to virtually all young adult romance novels, cannot be copyrighted.”
“Regarding setting, the court held that both works taking place in Alaska high schools was not protectable because Alaska is a public place and setting a teen novel in a high school is a common genre convention.”
Freeman v. Deebs-Elkenaney | Loeb & Loeb LLP
I've read the entire decision (skimming over the purely legal precedent/definitions bit) and here are some of my favorite bits:

Uh. I usually have the Village Bridge theme from Pokemon Black and White stuck in my head. With all the optional instruments added.

Looking for true love looking for true love
I think a big part of the reason Pokopia is hitting so hard for so many people is that we have had an absolute glut of post apocalyptic media that take the "humans are the monsters/disease/problem" angle. Even the most well meaning solar-punk I can think of often have this undercurrent of 'humanity's nature is inherently short sighted and exploitive and they must constantly be kept in check to protect the environment' which slides very quickly into 'the world would be better off without humans in it to complicate and threaten things'.
But Pokopia fully does not do that. The world is lonely without humans and lesser for humanity's absence. So much of the game is about how Pokemon miss humans and are struggling to make sense of a world without us, how the ecosystem is just as hurt by our absence as any other species, and how the things we left behind, even in ruins and burned shells, are often beautiful and strange and helpful to the Pokemon who find them.
Pokemon have always been this allegory for the natural world- back to the original idea of the games inspired by children who caught bugs and kept ant farms- and thus the relationship between Pokemon and humans becomes this allegory for the relationship between nature and humans. And Pokopia looks you dead in the eye and says "the world would be poorer without humans, and if we all vanished tomorrow the echoes of who we are and the things we did would still ring out for eons uncountable. We would be missed and mourned and searched for and the wound of our absence would be deeply felt on this earth for the rest of its turning. The actions of a few greedy short sighted humans will never change that."
And that. That hits.
