Iofallpeople - meeting established
The Orion in question didnât particularly hear him, the oriental-style music still too loud to really distinguish words. But she knew words had been said - by whoever had just entered.Â
Deciding that she should probably be a little more polite, she turned around, still holding a cloth and one of those nifty old things humans used to catch dust in difficult to reach places. Nya was formally against all modern methods of cleaning - meaning sonic rehabilitation of the place was out of the question. Plus, this was fun too.Â
"Oh, hey Jim! Nice to see you," she grinned at him, âmake yourself at home or something." There - that expression she had gotten right. Victory for her.Â
Jim relaxed immediately when he heard Gaila's welcome tone. He grinned back at her, speaking louder over the music. "Hey! You need some help?" It was the least he could do if he was going to interrupt her cleaning. He picked up another cloth and started wiping down the dresser before she could answer.
Just being around Gaila made Jim feel more at ease. He would never tell her that, but she made him forget about everything else that was bothering him. He could almost be himself around her. It was weird, and when Jim thought about it he was less than comfortable with the fact that he almost possibly had feelings for someone-- he much preferred to be independent. Still, Gaila was a good friend. Among other things.
He stopped cleaning and found himself staring back over at her. What was wrong with him? "So, uh." He raised his voice over the music again. "You almost done? I was thinking maybe we could... I dunno. Do something."
