Concom has had a mini meeting and we decided to extend our timeline for tickets.

Early bird ($100) will now be available until May 6th, 2025. Second chance tickets ($125) will be sold May 7th through June 6th, and last chance tickets ($150) will be available June 7th through midnight July 6th, 2025.

Since the application deadline for presenters is May 7th, we plan to review class submissions submitted before that and give a teaser about classes we have accepted by the end of April.

To fit the season we are in I’ll describe CNC as the haunted house of kinky play.

In a haunted house the point is to be surprised and scared. You don’t know what is going to await you in each room and we suspend belief for a bit to pretend that these monsters are real, there is some real danger.

But under that is an agreement we make when we enter the haunted house. The actors won’t hurt us, the gore and monsters aren’t real. The people inside are going to try to scare you but if they see you aren’t having a good time they will back off.

It’s the same with CNC play. It’s something that should be done with someone you know well and who knows you even better.

It’s a blanket of consent that allows the submissive to lose themselves in the experience. First off, this game is just fun.  I’ve been a Final Fantasy fan since my NES days.  (for those curious, my favorite is 12 because I am absolutely in love with Ivalice and am such a bitch for Tactics Advance)  You get all that fun of that style of game with decisions and consequences that take a morally upright and frankly staunchy main character and slowly mold her into something a lot more fun.  

On Monday, Lita opened the box with a smile of delight that felt plastic and forced, only to have it melt into excitement that was far more genuine once she saw the pair of expensive headphones inside. She didn’t really like the way that the rich white boy thought that he could buy her attention and her affection just by throwing money around, but she didn’t intend to turn down any of his gifts, either. If he wanted to follow her around like a puppy dog and give her cool shit, she’d take it and slam the door in his face when he tried to come into her house.

On Tuesday, Lita was amazed at how crisp and clear and sharp everything sounded through the new headphones. Her music popped in a way she’d never heard it before, and it made her own composition process so much easier now that she could really pick out the tiniest differences in the sound. She spent most of her evening in her bedroom, working on some new chiptunes with the kind of verve and enthusiasm she hadn’t experienced in months. When Jared texted her, she was happy to tell him how grateful she was for his present before setting her phone aside to focus on her work.

On Wednesday, Lita was experimenting with adding vocals to some of the music. Here the Riddler pauses, lifting his narrowed gaze to glare at the camera, voice dropping to an ominous tone.

“You know what you did…”

His demeanor shifts quickly, and he’s back to reading from his list almost cheerfully.

“Number Nine! Th-”

He’s interrupted by a crashing noise in the background and looks over his shoulder just an instant before a deep voice angrily growls, “Riddler!”

“Oh, for the love of-” He turns to glare at the camera, speaking quickly. “Number Nine: Batman! Interrupting me while I’m on television making very important- Hm-mmph!”

Batman: Riddler, you’ve hijacked the TV airwaves and you know that’s wrong but I think this is actually theraputic. So I’m giving you five minutes, and then I’m taking you to Arkham
