The story that began in The Dark Crystal - Jim Henson and Frank Oz’s 1982 classic fantasy movie - will continue in The Power of the Dark Crystal, a 12-issue comic book series from Boom! Studios and the Henson Company.
The story is based on an unproduced screenplay for a sequel - which was announced back in 2005 but has yet to come to fruition - penned by David Odell (who also wrote The Dark Crystal), Annette Odell, and Craig Pearce (Moulin Rouge).
Writer Si Spurrier adapts the story for comics, with art by Kelly and Nichole Matthews. The first issue will be released on February 15, kicking off a year-long celebration of the movie’s 35th anniversary. Its cover (above) is illustrated by Jae Lee with colors by June Chung.
The series is set decades after the events of 1982’s The Dark Crystal, with Jen and Kira distracted by the pressures of ruling Thra and no longer in touch with the needs of the people — which provokes a Fireling called Thurma to set out to steal a shard of the Dark Crystal with which she intends to restore power to her realm. Unfortunately, that mission might also restore the Skeksis…

Okay so I have been binge watching Inuyasha lately while I work on school work. I got a day off on Friday from my workstudy… soooo I made a mini zine about my favorite anime soap opera.
I think I summed it up perfectly.
THE AU QUEEN IS BACK AND SO IS THE WALKING DEAD!AU. I just finished season six of TWD and to counteract the depression that came with the finale, I wanted to go back to the first AU I ever posted on this website. I tried to make them all as bad ass as possible. InuYasha still has Tetsusaiga to slice up them zambies; Kagome’s got a mo'fo'in’ crossbow (but tbh she’s totally packing under the vest); Miroku carved up the bottom of a Buddhist staff to ensure long range stabbiness; Sango is packing a fucking Arsenal on her person, along with a “shoot first, ask questions later” policy; and Sesshomaru has his two swords, one arm (after one was bitten by a walker and then graciously hacked off by his brother), and a little girl he came across and saved along the way. I’m so happy w these, can’t decide on if I’ll color them though. Anyway - enjoy!
