Okay! So from tonight’s surprise midnight stream we have a WIP of Bonely dancing with his old flame, Gigi @osfractxm-a, a toon version of human!bonely meeting Stretch (that’s what I called game bendy when I first started playing and it kind of stuck) and a full body of Gigi bc hey, I was in the mood and what better way to say “HEY!” to an old friend than by drawing their oc? :3

Ok, so the drawing for today is Nnoitra the Mantis!

This little buddy was OBVIOUSLY based on what if Nnoitra Gilga (from Tite Kubo’s Bleach) was a Zoanthrope? Well, here’s my answer to that question.

A lean, mean, slashing machine Nnoitra’s Beast form is that of a common mantis. But don’t let that fool you. He’s fast, agile - able to doge even the strongest of heavy hitters and exploit any opening he sees. He specializes in slash and grab attacks, though once he has you in his claws, he’s more than willing to lay into you with those spiked legs of his. 

Aside from his hack and slash antics, Nnoitra is also exceptionally skilled at mantis style Kung fu - which really isn’t surprising all things considered.

It’s been a while since I drew this crazy mook.

funnily enough, I’ve found that the only time I can draw him is when I’m relaxed enough to do so, and the times I feel relaxed enough to do so is during the times of 1-5am when everyone’s asleep. Talk about inconvenient.

Yo! Just letting you guys know that I’m going to be moving blogs! I’ll be archiving this blog and moving to a new blog as a new beginning of sorts. From there I’m going to resolve to do at least one drawing a day - traditional, digital, whatever I’m in the mood for.

I was reminded how much I loved the Manga & Anime, Bleach, and so we have Owl as a Hollow/possible Arrancar~

A redraw of Satin Spar, the Gemsona of Owl’s Starfolk partner, Lunas.

Satin Spar is a blind psychic warrior whose clairvoyance allows her to see what things are and where they are within a limited range she calls her “field of vision”. When at full strength and at the pique of concentration, her range can extend almost to Neptune but her “sight” can be disrupted by what she would consider “visual static” of things moving between her and whatever it is she’s focusing on.

She also has the ability of Contact Telepathy, meaning she can form telepathic connections with people through touch - which is especially useful when transferring her knowledge.

Name: Satin Spar

Gem: Satin Spar/Gypsum variant

Gem Type: Non-fused

Abilities: Clairvoyance, contact telepathy (forms telepathic connection with the person/gem she touches), heightened agility

Weapon: serrated fan

Weaknesses: blind, has difficulty speaking.

Description: Satin Spar is 3′9″ with cyan-grey skin and dark cyan-grey hair that hangs over most of her face. Unlike other Gems, Satin Spar does not have eyes and must rely on her Clairvoyance and other senses to navigate.

Misc: Because of her lack of eyes, Satin Spar doesn’t like people touching her hair. She also has a thing for owls and frequently changes into some form of Tyto owl. She cares deeply for Serendibite and is often one of the only ones who can fully understand and sometimes soothe his deep anxieties.

Background:

One of the two gems comprising the fusion gem, Black Drusy, Satin Spar was once one of 3 leaders governing their world. She and her fellow ruling Gems ruled in what could’ve been seen as a harmonious balance. However, all this ended when the oldest of the three tried to stage a coup d’etat and, upon failing, raised a rebellion against them, thus beginning their world’s first civil war.

Thousands were lost as casualties in the war. So, in an attempt to stop the Eldest, Satin Spar and her fellow Governor staged one last battle against the Eldest in hopes if putting an end to the shard ridden war. But even as they fought, the two discovered that even with their powers combined, it was not enough to stop the Eldest. So, unable to defeat the Eldest, the pair decided the only way to save their world would be to imprison their former comrade.

So, in an effort to give the 2′nd Governor time to activate the seal, Satin Spar acted as a decoy, distracting the Eldest until the Seal was activated and their imprisonment complete. The cost however, was grave. In the final moments of the battle Satin Spar had been defeated and her Gem severely corroded. Fortunately, it was not enough to make her a Gem fragment, but her strength and abilities were greatly diminished. Where once she was a gallant and noble figure, she now appears as naught but a sightless child - not even a shadow of her former self.
